We can argue all day whether it's a large amount a lot. I think this comes down to personal opinion because $60 is not a lot to me in a year. There's no rule saying online services for gaming consoles have to be free.

No, there isn't a rule. But I'm saying that there's no point in buying the xbox from my perspective because I can get the same services for free elsewhere and with the same level of quality content. That's the entire point of this discussion remember?

Wrong. You said list an advantage. Signing in on multiple accounts without a built in game feature is an advantage. You are also forgetting about the PS3 having to buy an online pass if you lost yours for a game that requires it. So here are the advantages I see the Xbox 360 having:
-Xbox Live party chat.
-Signed in on multiple accounts without a built in game feature.
-Certain Game exclusives (whether they are better or not comes down to personal opinion)
-Free Rewards Program

I love how you just said "Wrong." In that first sentence, this is supposed to be a discussion about differing opinions. Not a back and fourth about who is "Right" on the issue.
To me, Xbox Live party chat is not an advantage at all in any sense because I can use skype for... (free)... and chat with my friends. Signing in on multiple accounts is a small advantage if you're planning on playing splitscreen with someone. But that's it really. There, you named one. Thankyou. But at least to me, but its not worth $60.00 per year from my standing so it doesn't really detract from the point I was trying to make. I've seen the free rewards program on the Xbox. It has barley any content. The "certain game exclusives" you are talking about is actually a disadvantage considering that
every single other console in the competition has more exclusives than the Xbox.

Mmm I beg to differ sir. The Left 4 Dead series isn't on the PS3 is it? It may not be an Xbox exclusive, but it's not on the PS3. Crackdown 2 is also another good example. Established good online multiplayer and fun. Why have me list them when there's a whole list right here. A game isn't dead until everyone stops playing it. Same with life when your heart stops beating. It seems you're going by the amount of exclusives that go online.I'm just satisfied with Halo itself.

I know both systems have the same DLC for the games that are on both consoles. I was listing the exclusives because I see more DLC on those games than a lot of the multi-platform ones. I was listing the DLCs specifically because they were not on the Xbox 360. All Stars according to this page has 136 DLC of in-game items, Uncharted 3 has around 360 DLC for in-game items, and if you wanna count the Little Big Planet DLC be my guest. I'm listing these games because they are popular exclusives that promote a lot of extra in-game items. Now us players can buy all the items without earning them like the others did. I do not see an Xbox exclusive where you are effected from people buying DLC. It's always maps. Name the Halo maps if you would be so kind because I have never seen them exceed 800 MS points. Prove me wrong.

From what I have seen with Little Big Planet 2 the DLC is entirely cosmetic so I don't see your point at all as to why not getting some trophies from custom maps is a bad thing. The same thing seems to be true with your uncharted example, as losing the ability to "taunt" isn't really going to detract anything from your experience unless you're really jealous of those people that have it.
You're missing my entire point though. I'm not trying to directly compare PS3 exclusives to Xbox exclusives in terms of DLC. I'm comparing the Xbox's library in respect to the rest of the gaming market in general. And, when you look at it that way,
the xbox's library is almost entirely multiplatform compare to what other gaming machines have to offer. So games like Left 4 Dead (that is available elsewhere on PC and doesn't require high end specs) are irrelevant, considering we are talking about
reasons why anyone should actually buy the xbox console.
You seem to not be understanding why I'm not comparing the Xbox exclusive DLC quality directly to the PS3 exclusive DLC quality. Here's a better analogy so you can wrap your head around what I am trying to convey, say you have two groups of people. Group A has about 100 people, Group B has 5. A person inspects the hygiene of the two groups and finds 10 people in group A with bad hygiene, and no one with group B with bad Hygiene. The inspector then concludes that group B has better hygiene than group A. Sort of an illegitimate comparison isn't it? Especially if the Hygiene problems the inspector is pointing out are just simple allergies that really don't mean anything significant.
And about those Halo Map packs, the last time I checked xbox Live the anniversary map pack for Halo reach was around $15.00. That skewed my memory to think that a significant number of the map packs were this much when that was not true at all. Sorry. I wasn't trying to pull numbers out of my ass to prove you wrong about an issue that is irrelevant to my point or something.
Here's a quick summary of my points so that I can tie them all together considering it may be kinda hard to understand what I'm trying to say with that wall of text. There are very few advantages regarding Xbox Live and not enough quality exclusives to justify the purchase of an Xbox.
Sure, Playstaion may have minor problems with a few of their exclusives regarding DLC but this does not retract from the massive and diverse library it offers compared to the Xbox in terms of gameplay. In the end, there isn't really any significant reason to buy an Xbox unless you
really enjoy playing games on splitscreen.
