Changes are either a player submitted these and whoever handles the uploads wasn't aware, or one of the staff did it knowingly, and the other stuff either haven't caught on, or again, unaware of where it's from.

In the end it falls on a single individual, and staff can't all be able to tell where graphics come from. In this case it's Maple Story, but who would be able to tell if they ripped graphics from some obscure game that's not really that popular?

Report it to the appropriate staff before judging staff and instead judge them on how they actually deal with it after having it brought to their attention.

They'd include the court fees in the claim. All they'd have to do is send Eurocenter a C&D, Eurocenter would be stupid to ignore it.

I doubt they would just try a c&d, they would know they would just remove it, they would want money too.

Small things like this are rarely worth the time/money to bring it to court, especially when it's over country borders and such.

I can imagine if they were sued for stealing their defense would be: "Any artwork uploaded to the internet is for sharing and everyone in the world to use."

Nah they would probably pull some liability crap about uploads being mandated by players and not employees(in the same way Youtube or other sites like it handle copyright).
