What hole? There's not a decline in player count. People actually like doing the crap that OP listed.

Graal is like the most novice level MMO I can think of. People who want more from an MMO already play other games.

Move on to a different game like many of us already have..

Pretty much sums it up.

The way I see it, hats are new content. It gives players a way to further customize their look. However, you can't expect huge things to be released as often because those kinds of things take a while to make. Small things are released regularly, big things on rare occasions.

Dusty 09-21-2013 09:15 PM

Despite how vocal the hat dislike is, a lot of players like hats. In fact, players seem to expect hats with every update, and whine when there aren't hats. Same with furniture, if you release a new area you can expect 80% of feedback for the next week to be players whining about how all the new furniture in the new areas isn't for sale.

Not that this is justifiable, and I can understand the gripe about hats... but just realize hats aren't replacing other content. If you're getting hats, it's not taking up the time that would otherwise be used creating a dungeon or quest. It's just that graphic artists are much more easier to come by than other development staff. You can't create the new content players want with just graphics, yet graphic staff is pretty much all iClassic has as far as development goes.

Rotaruc 09-21-2013 09:40 PM

Delteria has like 60+ quests right? + everything else they have. thats content. When it comes out classic is gunna look like *** lol. So to all of u who r unhappy with classic just be patient.

Stocke 09-21-2013 10:48 PM

Delteria also has MysticalDragon, who specialises in remaking dead servers. He took the same team he has always used (himself and DrasticVendetta) plus Emera who is good at creating hype.

You don't need a lot of developers to make content, but when all of the devs are inactive nothing can get done. Pointing at other servers with an active dev team and asking why Classic isn't like that is foolish.

comparing Classic to Delteria is really unfair, lol. Classic does it's own thing whereas Delteria does it's own. I am sure there will be people that will continue to prefer Classic over Delteria simply because Classic is aimed at sociability and Delteria is more of a "Hardcore" thing.

wildkeldeo 09-22-2013 06:26 AM

Classic is amazing!!! There's always fun things to do for me. :D Like farming!!!

NeoZX 09-22-2013 06:42 AM

To all of you that said "Classic is a simple game and doesn't need anything new"; it does. The reason Zone and Era are "better" is because they can do everything Classic does, plus weapon variety.
Don't defend it. If you really want "Delteria" just stop playing Classic.

We all know the game is over loaded with hat chasers. Just look at the massive crowds that show up for events and usually ends up in an annoying couple hundred player pk riot. Imo players and Dev's are both to blame for this.

You remove "dead" areas because there may have not of been much traffic there and not much to do,but at least they were more places to walk around and explore. Which Imo is one of the best parts of starting out in a game. Yet your remove these areas and things before adding more.

I don't understand that at all. For example I don't get why it would be necessary to remove the old rail road system before the new one is ready. It couldn't be left in place till the new one was at least close to being ready?

My point is this: You remove part of what little there is so there is even less to do in the game. The only real content I have seen added is the occasional holiday quest. So in away it feels like we have been programmed to hat chase. Hat's are the only content or thing that is constantly added or changed within the game so of course people will always be demanding more.

I know Dusty has said more than once why there is a lack of content and why things take so long to get done. I hope i am right in assuming they have looked outside the game for new or more dev's. If not then maybe they should throw and add up on craigslist.

NeoZX 09-22-2013 08:21 AM

+REP. I hear ya, perfect thinking.

This isn't going to happen. Eurocenter is currently making money by having volunteers do the majority of their work, so why would they want to hire someone and lose some of their income? If you think that any Graal server will ever get a constant stream of quality updates then you need to realize it won't happen, and it's Eurocenter to blame, not the current volunteers they have developing content.

I did realize that. I just thought they could advertise it,and see if they could get people to volunteer. I would think some would do it for fun because they enjoy it and besides it would be great experience and something they could add to there resume if they where looking to get into a game development field.

I have played games where you make your own rpg game (rpg maker) Idk if that is similar to what Dusty does or not but I thought it might be some what the same. You make levels, add npc's,write their dialog, set their movements, add objects, edit how your character interacts with things, set triggers(things that you would do to start quests/events/add items to inventory, ect.) When Dusty talks about fixing the game script I'm not sure if he is talking about stuff like that or actual coding I have know clue on how to do coding. If I knew exactly what writing script was and how do to it I would.
