you guys act like the whole Angel thing is some unheard of and unjust incident, yet some of the same people trying to get him unbanned are some of the same players who would report others for that very same thing just to try and get someone banned because they don't like them or can't get a tower from them
not saying that he should be banned, because he obviously shouldn't, but taking advantage of how stupid some of the staff are is just as bad as being the fish-brain staff member who administers the ban

staff just need to stay the hell out of sparring and towers if they don't know the game and don't know what they're doing

I'm sure some 12-year-old admin that was hired that same week was the one who handed out the warning, and I'm sure they viewed it as a "lag block" because they're clueless about the game

bottom line is that there are too many staff who don't know how how to moderate the gameplay of the game rather than just the social BS, like harassment, so they just need to stay out of it until they get proper "training"

not to mention, 90% of this stuff that causes issues at towers can be fixed from a scripting standpoint
friend of mine is currently banned for 3 months because she had a lag spike in the middle of a narrow hallway at a tower (a tower being defended 15 vs. 3 or something), just stay out of towers if you don't know what you're doing or have the more intelligent staff (Dusty, FP4) fix things through scripting

unban angel, he did nothing wrong, and the staff have just been kind of um.. "not smart" for a few years.
i once got a warning for hacking off-map when i was simply standing on the cliff to the right of the battle arena during the short period when there were stairs to it. i also got banned once because somebody was cursing near me and i wasn't a part of it at all.
i think a better job needs to be done when it comes to picking out who deserves to be a staff member and who doesn't.

I remember the time I was banned for severe harassment when I didn't even PM or talk to anybody in the last few days :/

I forgot to mention, if you're gonna hire bilingual staff, please make sure they speak fluently in both languages. I had my status reset and warned for having the word "sh!t" in my status. Then I went to the kiosk to see who was actually online and there was only one staff online. I asked them why they warned me, and they could barely make out my sentence. I asked him/her if I could put idgaf in my status, they didn't know what it meant.

A few days later my friend had her status reset and warned because she had the word "fuq" in her status. Also, a towering friend of mine had some thing like "After (such and such [nothing innapropriate at all btw]) We will use this guild to pk Racists and cheaters." His status was reset (not sure if he was warned or not) but still. Have some common sense staff, really...

They are allowed to ban you if you're using a censored word on the game lol. The banning system is actually fine the way it is when it comes to harassment/vulgarity/inappropriate things but I agree with the first post that Avyiz wrote. There should be some steps before banning someone(only if the ban consists of more than 1000+ hours). Other than that, players shouldn't complain if their ban is only for a week or so lol. For example, if it's hacking, they could check to see which device the player is on. I'm not sure if you can even hack on an idevice but if you can't, then staffs should consider other options for that player. Something that they could do is check the history pm's of that player to see if the player has talked about hacking to someone else, or they could disconnect/warp that player if they don't see anything related to hacking.

Mhm. There was a longstanding glitch that occurred when players would catch a bug then immediately use their mounts. On their screen, everything would look normal (although sometimes other players would disappear), but on other players' screens, said bug catcher would be in a completely different spot, appearing to run through any and all walls/obstacles in their path. It's very saddening to hear that anyone was actually banned for this.

However, the bug catching/mount glitch/bug was recently fixed.

Regarding the topic at hand, I do believe there are a lot of times where someone is banned for just reason, yet still falsely claims that they didn't do anything. But when someone is banned as a result of an in-game bug that was in no way their fault, that's something else entirely, and should never happen.

It's one thing to unintentionally find yourself bugged(like with Sardon's Tower). It's another to intentionally exploit a very powerful glitch, especially when you don't attempt to report said glitch. People who abused the horse/bug catching glitch deserve to be banned.

The Sardon bug has been forwarded to Xor and he's going to brief staff on its existence, which should help cut back on the unjustified bans.

No, I agree with that. I was solely referring to the people who had no idea of the glitch. Not the people who were exploiting it to try and get off-map (or whatever else people were doing).
