Removal of rewards and reverting a giant majority of planets would be a better idea. Having static teams will encourage people to group together to actually kill things and take the objective.

Though if squads must stay then I guess having something like unable to join another squad for a week works. 1 squad a week. How's that for discouraging hat chasing?

cookie get your head out of your ass and realise this isn't happening. We got to work with what we got so think of ways to keep the current system and make the system work. Such as encouraging randoms that aren't noobs who do nothing to join into ircira and ctf and spring.

I actually like this idea. If you want to make something actually competitive, do this.

I also agree with the notion of removing squad hour prizes for the reasons:
1. they are all ugly and generic
2. they bring the whole gang of nasty hat hunters from other servers to zone
3.discourage squads being used like they were made to.

dosen't need to have this because era has proven that this system of squads works, and it works good. If you want to stop hat chasers, do what era did and reduce the squad hat reward size from like 17 to 6. Then at like 3000 hours, get a squad station that is public and theres a second hat thats only available to your members and allies until you go off tag. If you are off tag and log out, you do not keep the hat. In era this was not an issue.

Meh, I'm indifferent to a special squad hat that is only used when on tag and must be manually equipped each time you go off tag (or log out) but the fact that people orgasm over customs hats is what's killing it. Sure there might be a few squads that actually do it to compete, but the majority make a guild, get a hat, leave said guild to join another and wait until the next hat. Removing time rewards would completely discourage this. If anything, have a weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, whatever-ly tournament where the top ## guilds with the most kills can compete. Award ZC, money, whatever.

TL;DR squad time rewards are almost as toxic as the trade tables.

TLDR zone is set up to be a competitive server, not a social server.

I agree with this 100%!!! Zone should be more pk based, but still have an "Astro Bar" for those who want it...

Wot bruh, we want more PvP and always have. Zone should be pure PvP with a few rest areas; all money being made by killing or the occasional event.
