Top grossing=more players and money

That's because, like Graal, they make money by counting on your emotional investment and desire to progress through the game ie. buying gems ie. buying a BAR in Graal.

The point stands that top grossing is NOT equal to popularity. It may be popular, but not always.

Grossing is not used to measure popularity. It may contribute to it, but it's like saying Gallons and Feet are the same thing.

No. Grossing is the amount of money made. Unless players are money, you can't use players to state the amount of money made.

This is the issue. It just didn't sit well for me, on a moral basis, seeing everyday people bust there ass off, dedicating so much time and effort on various servers in numerous staff teams trying to make Graal a better place and to make unixmads pocket a bit thicker. And for what? He has no idea about the work that goes on behind the scenes haha

Sure, he's contributed too, financially in particular. But the lack of interest and appreciation shown towards the general community that supports HIM, does it for me imo. I'm not asking for some grand gesture, just interacting here on Graalians or making an effort to talk to the people that make the Graal economy go round would be nice. His world would turn on its head if everyone were to use their talents on developing their own, or other games.

I'm glad somebody here has the same perspective as I do.

The thing is the amount of work I see him do is nothing compared to some of the staff on these servers, which DO make him money. They get nothing from it.

I understand it's completely their choice to work, but I feel like there's so much that could be done with the game but the only person with the power to do so doesn't care enough to take action.

Preach. As I eluded to earlier, if the Graal community concentrated their talents into an independent game of sorts it'd bring about the demise of unixmad and the opening for an amazing new game just saying...

Are you saying an entire game with the Graal staff with no middle man (Unixmad).

It would, that's what I'm saying. The logistics and numerous demands of getting a server similar to Graal up and running is why we play Graal in the first place. Convenience. Unixmad did it and is reaping the rewards. Good on him, a sense of appreciation for the unsung heroes would be great though that's all.

I'm pretty sure all the newer servers are lacking because Unixmad is setting limitations depending on what he thinks will bring in the money easier and faster.

Unix doesnt care. If he cared and set limitations on stuff, i would have been fired for making zone balanced the second the first update was made. Im also in the same boat of he should be spreading the money around to his staff. Or if he is being greedy at least spend it on upgrading servers etc.

This isn't what I'm asking.

I want the money to go towards something who cares about the game, and doesn't neglect it. If Unixmad started caring about the game I'd have no problem with him keeping the money.
