Yeah I suspect the same thing at times. Today they didn't even bother to tell us who they had given the hat to. Some new 'admin' account with less than 10 hours just hosting and giving out hats to oldbies...

I don't think anyone realizes just how quickly and how fast staff get spammed with PMs after making an announcement. I'm talking 500+ PMs in the span of a few minutes.

I have personally got on player to try to win a hat during a trivia and answered the question immediately and not won. Why? Because despite how fast you think you are, they probably got 10 other correct answers before you.

Dusty is right, because most of the time us PC users are capable of answering trivia questions in less than 3 seconds, I personally won a trivia hat on an alt account that had 4 hours and everyone accused the admin of rigging it for me but in reality typing on a PC is much faster than iDevice.

Obviously if you have 0 hats you haven't won 20 trivia events.

Also, admins are allowed to participate in other admin events on their player accounts so not sure why you think that is rigging an event.

i know a friend of mine that has a sibling looking up the answer on the computer while she's ready to pm the admin. she won a lot of trivia.

It depends on the question. Some really obscure/hard to answer ones tend to take a little while. It also depends on the topic I think... some players might find some topics more boring and not really bother even reading the question and giving others more ample time to respond.

I have been in RC for one trivia where after 3 minutes the host still didn't get a correct answer, but it was for a really obscure question.

Ive seen that when an admin doesnt get an immidiate reply they wait till somebody answers (goes to 10 min if nobody answers right)
Even if i pmed the first min the right answer

50 pm in a few min is nothing try surviving in my guild and ull see real spam ;)

If you answered within the first minute and still did not win, chances are they did get an answer right away from someone else.

In case you didn't know they warp the winners and then give them the hat before broadcasting who won the trivia, which is usually why people think they should of won since they replied way before the broadcast was sent out.

You have to keep in mind that there are a few hundred pms being sent to the admin. They have to read through all of those, find the first few that answered correctly, add the hat to their account, and then send out the message saying who won. It will take time.
