Pretty obvious it's fake.

Creating a film for the sake of making a political statement isn't in the interest of a large-scale public corporation, that has a heavy demographic of conservative audiences. Making a controversial film would eat into profits due to potential boycotting of other products.

Also, I'm sure that if it was real, it would be a poor movie. I don't have anything against same-sex marriage, but I feel like if a movie was created for the purpose of having same sex couples, it would be rather lacking in story. IMO it would need a main story to it(adventure and whatnot), and the whole romance thing would need to be a side element. Creating it as the sole purpose of the plot would make it feel quite generic, lacking, and overall boring.

You're assuming that the gay couple would be the sole purpose of the movie. Nowhere does it say that.

Yeah it's fake

Wat. How would a movie with gay protagonists be more perverse than any other movie?

I wasn't suggesting that the movie itself would, I was saying the media around it would end up making it out as something much more perverse.

Not necessarily. There is a huge range of cultures used in Disney movies, and if you look at the history of Greek or Japanese cultures there is a strong tradition of homosexuality in leaders and ordinary men.

That part of my post was overall sarcastic.

thanks.

The "fake" movie was supposed to take after some book. The plot being two Princes going to save a Princess but along the way they fall in love with each other rather than the princess.

Must be one ugly princess.

But you do realize how incredibly sexist most of not all Disney movies are towards women regardless of culture.

Just look at Mulan...

It'd be one hell of a twist if Disney pushed out this kind of movie and honestly, I don't think society would be able to handle it. (Lol)

Thought it was going to be an alternate ending to Frozen :(

WTF? I thought she was a girl. Are these gender confusions a troll?:'(:'(

I'm female.
I just don't care enough when someone says "he" or "him" to correct them, since we all know what he or she meant when they said something anyways.

Nowhere did it mention any other aspect of the plot. If this is the primary attracting feature of the movie, why would I want to go see it?

Would have lol'd if this were real. Yay for political correctness.

that's pretty gay man

Hadzz 12-08-2014 04:35 PM

Arent most boys at that age not interested in romance ?It seems a bit idiotic to create a film in which most males would be discriminated against for viewing and so not only would the target audience yet again be reduced but be more likely to add to the numbers of homophobes . i highly doubt disney have any plans for directly promoting homosexuality in the film industry in the recent future.

I don't think anyone, including females, are interested in romance at such a young age.
However, if you grow up watching shows, movies, experiences, etc. on male-female relationships, they'll most likely grow up liking the opposite sex.

Spirit19 12-08-2014 05:56 PM

Being that only 2% of the world is gay I don't think it would get a lot of "high praise". Definitely not #1 movie in America material.

You're right, to make it more realistic they should have depicted more rape and forced marriage.
