There is the bandit leader too who does spinning 360 sword things. He drops chests

Yup, he has like 8 health.

He also drops the key needed to get the special bombs in the big chest.

And I honestly didn't know there really were fire blobs too. But I actually do recall mention of them, now that I think about it. So with that, here's the rare spawns I know of:

- Bomb rat (rare version of the rats in the Underground Railroad caves)
- Gold blob (rare version of the green blobs in swamp town)
- Fire blob (rare version of the dark blobs in the Underground Railroad)
- Bandit Leader (rare version of the Bandits in the hidden bandit cave)
- Black snake (rare version of the green snakes in Big City)

Basically they're "special" versions of the regular baddies that spawn in their respective areas. They usually drop gold gralats, except the bandit leader, who will drop the key to the bomb chest and/or a loot chest.

Black Ladybugs fall into the same category, as they are a "special" version of a regular bug that spawn infrequently.

Personally, I love the concept of rare spawns. I just wish they (at least had a chance) of dropping something more special than a gold gralat.

Had a friend who saw one in Air Asia not too long ago (since blobs did spawn there).

The real myth is the Giant Gold Blob. Now this I've only heard stories about. This is the myth. I heard that one spawned once and some lucky noob got the ultra-rare UFO morph from it.

I actually did hear that from someone. This part was legit. That doesn't mean I believe it to be true in any way, but it's fun to spread rumours. :)

And to the previous poster, I'm well aware of where the UFO morphs originally came from! But if there was a giant golden blob, it wouldn't be too far fetched for it to drop an item of such rarity, now would it?
