Actually DDoS attacks can be stopped instantly if the developers actually purchased the protection for the game which they CLEARLY can afford. I've hosted several game servers in the past. If you've got the right router (load balancers, packet detection) costing around 2000-5000 USD, along with an Anti DDOS protection service (Around 200 a month) you're pretty much invunerable to these attacks probably performed by puberescent teenagers.

Except it usually isn't worth the money. Most games/webservices do not get DDoSed regularly enough for it to be worth to blow money on DDoS protection.

Can you seriously not live without iClassic for 48 hours? You're like a little kid who keeps pushing the power button on the TV's remote control over and over and wondering why it isn't working when there aren't even batteries in it

This is true, but I'm just sayin it IS somethin that CAN be instantly stopped if the devs cared enough, rather having to wait it out over a 48 hour period.

This was bound to happen eventually, as Graal is growing
This can be seen as a growing experience for Graal as a game, and would mean getting better detection/protection/efficient servers or routers, for this to not happen again

That's like buyin birth control after getting pregnant.

If I was a game developer I'd implement detection, protection, and efficiency first and foremost.
