That's one of the major reasons for the upgrade/move.

does this include all the other servers as well? or only classic?

Yes all servers (eventually).

Will the server be able to cope with such a high player count after the move, and will it be harder to attack it with a ddos?

Apparentlylitowilllbe ableIto'holdm10,000 peoplejwithoutklag, so might take a few years for people to start complaining again. People will have 0.1ms as well, so beating delayers will be easy, I don't even know if they will delay hard either..0.5ms?x10

0.01ms*

@fp4 did you purposely avoid my question?
will the server be able to hold the rising player count once the provider is switched

High player counts are another issue in itself that moving the server or upgrading the network won't necessarily fix (not saying it won't help) as the bottleneck is with the software (pushing 15-16 years old now) at that point.

One of the ideas to help with the high player count is to have multiple servers. e.g. a channel/instance system. This is easier said than done however and would likely require some updates to the Graal server itself to implement properly.

and yes.

No need, just make forts and the BA have their own instance, so people inside these levels don't have to load everything else of the server making the main activities far less laggy

Is the server going to be hosted in Australia because I heard all the good servers are hosted there

Numbrero 09-09-2015 06:24 PM

No matter how good the server becomes, it will always have lag. IMO has a ton of players, so several servers were made.(5 Global servers, 5 Korean servers, and 1 japanese server.) And it still gets the occasional lag, the lag isn't SO bad, if you got horrible wi-fi, you'll obviously lag in IMO.:3 (Also fixed slow loading problem even while adding 2 new maps!^.^)

I hope everyone starts to understand now, even those who did. The people in Graal City that just stand there are actually the source of the problem and everyone else that afks.

My suggestion for a temporary fix: Just don't afk. If you aren't going to play, log out. Even just one person doing this is helpful. If we can get most of the people who understand the issue to do this, it can be better for everyone.
