This is almost exactly how my story went. I joined a few days before Christmas a couple years ago, and was instantly pelted with projects by Cassie (which was expected -- it was Christmas), and as a result I was working nonstop for those few days. Come Christmas, I realize that absolutely nothing that I had made for Christmas merchandise and the so-called "Christmas Quest" were used. I stayed for New Years but that first incident was enough to convince me to leave.

Exactly. I think all items and hats and such should be kept, as some people worked very hard to get them, but everything else, visually at the least, should be scrapped and redone. This means a desperately needed new tileset, especially new trees to replace those ugly realistic trees, and scrap the useless planet screen that shows up after getting into a spaceship. Oh yeah, new spaceships too. Practically everything needs to be replaced with fresh, visually pleasing graphics. I don't know much about other dev categories, but that's my O on the graphics aspect.

And the staff on yo heads. It's so ghetto.

I was actually considering rejoining to help with a new tileset, which I've been bugging them about for a while now.

I would help but don't have the right programs on my pc. Hmmm but to fix the server it would take a few months and we would probably take stuff form Starbound in the end

Honestly don't know. Thought I can get back into the server but ended up uninstalling today. It's just so boring and nothing to do. Either it's Showdown, trading, basing, or being afk. And with content only being holiday shops, the server is just not thriving in any direction. Hopefully it can get a reboot. It urgently needs one.

You guys should get on your little Graal knees and beg classic for the space nexus tileset and remake every level, then go from there

Until people with apparent graalstyle talent actually prove they have talent and make a new tileset(space themed/space themed stuff-that majority of these 'progfx people' have never really done) then zone will just be a platform in the air with holiday [email protected], Latte who did f all when was staff and let people like kenovo/lafez etc to do majority of the work(with no reward sometimes), while they 'had other assignments' none that ever been shown or released then happened to quit when majority of working staff left as they wasn't appreciated there nor rewarded for anything.


Most of why zone is never progressed is due to all the highers from managers to department ldrs (managers only having right to do stuff-while department people are incredibly limited in what they can do/have next to no right if they themselves wanted to get the ball rolling on creating something more.) This is why most updates are just holiday updates.. I mean they even put thread for zonecoin shop update(what to put in) a year ago and still it hasnt got one.

And for the graal community who always go on about old servers etc and how they could help it with whatever skills they have, why don't they help another iserver out like zone? I mean its not like classic couldn't of just gave part of that nexus?space tileset to help another server out, but nah let create few levels that will never be seen again.
