Okay, the plot was ehh in my opinion. The fight scenes were okay, but...

NO WHY WAS SOLO KILLED DMDKAKANDBXIDKSKSN BADBADBADBAD HE HAD SO MUCH TO LIVE FOR.

The ending was just bleh.
I wouldn't watch it again.

Saw it twice. Once with family and once with friends. I really liked it. Yeah the basic plot is mostly A New Hope, but everything else was great. The new characters, the action scenes, the music, its all the best in the entire series for me. And the stuff it sets up for the sequels could be really interesting.

The death star 3.0 was the only part that bothered me when it comes to A New Hope homages, but the new stuff that was happening between Finn, Rey, Han, and Ben was the real focus during that part of the movie so it wasn't so bad.

Ok so does Kylo Ren actually die in the end? Like I know he is still alive when Ren/Ray leaves but does he die with the planet or get picked up? I've read a couple of places saying he doesn't die because of his huge role and such, but I feel like the movie should've at least shown him getting carried off, idk. Great movie none the less :)

No he wouldn't have died. He wasn't wounded too badly considering he's a force user who are traditionally tougher than normal human beings (at least they were, considering that the universe was reset we can only assume it holds true). It's not impossible that Snoke foresaw his fall and ordered troopers to go to him before the explosion and he was in the facility towards the end of the film but who knows really.

I'm also really thrilled with the lightsaber duels as well as the lightsaber sound effects, they seem to have really improved since episode VI or III

kudos to you guys for putting stuff in spoilers, I avoided this thread until I saw the film (few hours ago) and yeah, I agree with mostly everything everyone has said here

I'm happy w Disney though, they did a good job. Look forward to Ep 8!

no, Snoke orders General Hux to go save him so it is assumed that he lives. would kinda be ridiculous to kill off one of the only dark force users so soon.
