Being unknown and getting hired doesn't mean there was no favoritism.
eViLxHunter was a good friend of bboy. So it could (!) have been favoritism.

Nevertheless you probably deserve it for being a good GP in Classic. Don't get me wrong.

My point is that they can even choose people not known by everyone.

It might, it depends on what server you have worked on (it only helps with one component: That they know you have/have not been given power and what you did with it), but since i am not the PRA i could be wrong and they are not looking for experience.

He been playing classic for along time and played era from the start.

Well I do know tons of staff on both classic and iera have been chosen simply because they worked on other PC servers. But it's usually as a developer type position. However I remember naack was hired to classic a long time ago as a gp because he worked on PC.
