Next time read all the posts in the thread before you complain. It has nothing to do with ppl that tower in a guild named Kate. I made this thread to state IMO that when and if Kate decides to stop camping at Castle with SON and gaining tower time with that guild. Instead of just stopping completely she will probably just turn around and start doing it all over again using her other guild Kate. Which is the guild she uses when she submits SON for the gst's.

Also just because we poke fun and complain about a guild that nobody likes does not make us immature.

BTW just for the record. I do not like SON or Kate because of her tactics but I do respect them for what they have been able to accomplish. I do not how ever like the fact that SON is allowed to camp at a single tower 24/7,and that tower rarely switches hands and never for very long. Where as the other towers change hands several to dozens of times a day. I fail to see how castle is a balanced tower compared to the other towers when it rarely gets taken by other guilds.

To be honest, I would think that they deserve a huge reward. However, I do not wish to see 50k happening, because it would most likely screw things up. I doubt I would see a lot of players wasting 6 years on one guild. Or even 6 more years on Graal doing nothing but AFKing at a tower. How many real members would get the reward? Plus, 50k would consist of camping at a tower, mostly. I would much rather see multiple 1k guilds to keep up competition. But you're right, any guild that has achieved 50k deserves an award for at least dedication. But I don't believe any guild will aim that far. At least not anytime soon.

What did you expect once ppl figured out hey, why stay in a guild for the long term when I can just keep making guilds and getting a hat reward faster? Or even better jumping on to which ever guild is closest to 1k kissing the leads asses doing a lot of work to make the longer term members look lazy so I can convince their leader to put me on the hat list.

So why push for more than 1k when you can just guild hop and try and get as many custom hats that only 24 other ppl have. Idk about other ppl,but I would assume they would just get tired of some of the ppl in their guild and need a change of scenery.

As for son I wish they would move on so castle can be a real tower and not their personal camp site.

Idk what happened with SON all I knows is shortly after hitting 10k they have stopped and Now Kate has switched it to the guild with her name. And now they have been owning castle for the last week or so. Go look at the total tower time for the week Kate is in the top 3. You can't tell me she didn't switch and start all over. I don't know how she can stand to idle in castle all damn day way to boring if you ask me.

In her defense however, I have noticed nobody seems to care as much or bitch about Vintange only towering at dw. No they don't own it 24/7 like SON/Kate does castle,but they do own it the majority of the time. They never seem to take other towers or at least not very often they usually just noob recruit and retake dw. I'm not trying to complain about Vintage as I do respect them and Liz/Aimee. I know they get there share of flack from other players. Idk why they have always been nice to me.

I'm mearly trying to point out they dominate a single tower almost as much as SON/Kate does,but it seems like nobody cares that they do. Maybe its because dw is easier to take and it actually changes hands several times a day and is held by other guilds for decent amount of times and isn't cheaply retaken by recruiting noobs and hiding in a gh in the flag room.

I also don't get why the admins wont nerf the castle flag hp. Drop it to 75 or 100 I think it would be right on par with snow if they did. I think its one of the better set up towers.

This is nothing on Kate as I have no issue with SoN (though it was a little disappointing they have up so soon after 10k and moved to another for the sole fact they weren't dominating and loosing members, it's not easy but don't just give up) however, we don't dominate because we don't noob recruit to take back deadwood. The only time my guild so called "noob recruits" is when we hold a tower and if we don't see them as a member we want sticking around, they don't get tagged again. I'd rather pk deadwood to take back with 3 of my friends for an hour then noob recruit 15 people and get back in 10 minutes. Towering looses its enjoyment quick when it's not with people you enjoy. Plus I hate leading with the whole "down" "wake up" "dw or kick" crap and try to avoid it by all means possible by keeping around people who know how to tower and are legitimately fun. As for dominating dw that's their choice, I'd move around for a change but they prefer it so I leave it be.

Id say sons castle is hardest to defend actually as the flag rooms so big its hard to pk someone or catch them

Last time I checked I had NO 1k hats and That I have been in UFO for well over 500 hours so I don't see how that makes me a hat chaser. Btw almost any decent guild can noob recruit and take Castle from Son,but I see it as pointless because like its been mentioned in this thread a few times. Kate just rounds up her noobs off subs or recruits more and retakes within ten minutes. So why waste time recruiting up enough to take it knowing that you will never hold it more than 30 mins. Much rather take any other tower that's not York that I could hold with less ppl for longer period of time.

We probably had like 3 active ppl defending and the other 9 where afk gc spamming if I remember right. It's hard to tell ppl to pay attention and defend when they don't shut up.

I guess you've missed the point I've tried to make several times. Why waste so much time and effort in getting the number off ppl needed to take castle when Kate is just going to pull in her noobs off of subs and attack endlessly till she gets her precious castle back? I rarely see a guild own castle more than 30 mins. Much better use of time and resources to take an easier tower that you can hold with less ppl for a longer period of time. Anybody who towers regularly knows ppl are unreliable and constantly come online and go off,or afk all day.

I just don't feel that its right for a single guild to dominate and hold a tower 24/7 most days for 365 days a year. I think towering should be more about taking towers then sitting around camping at a flag all day. Where is the fun in that? Because I love contantly sitting in a tower racking up time missing countless events and things that are going on not being able to leave. Because if I do some hat chasing asshole is going to come still my spot while everybody else is ditching the tower to go to what ever I'm missing at the time.
