Also, the overall FEEL of the island was immersive. The dust clouds blowing along, the palette of the area, and the artwork style, if indicative of the direction future content is going, makes me anticipate more to come!

Yeah, I agree exactly. Big ups to Dusty on this one. Definitely looking forward to more content, perhaps if Dusty was just assigned to become a project leader and had a team work under him so he can still assure the quality players love, we could see a much better production time in new content. Dusty, stop being such a one man army. :shy:

Yeah, I feel if Dusty were to search for a team he could get a lot done really fast. Build a squad Dusty

Good job

If your sayn this quest sucks well just be thankful we dont have

The _____ hat shop has been restocked come and see
7 days later:
The ______ hat shop has been restocked

Maybe their will be more quests more adventure
More content
dungeons

I like zelda styled quests
I like to take my time searching around the island to figure out the quest
If you dont like that then ask somebody who did it

Good job things have been reveresed
Instead of classic players quiting for era its era players quiting for classic
Classic will rise

I like Zelda styled quests as well :o would be nice to see seething implemented in certain areas you can do multiple times to keep people coming back.

But not necessarily all combat related like pyrat bay, maybe areas that have exclusive loot items or maybe a trivia game with npcs (similar to the witch).

If we ever used the cardinal for something, we could probably have some mini games. Era implemented the arcade, mini carnival was pretty much based around them, with other cool features.

Sardon 11-21-2014 06:40 PM

I like combat

Wouldnt you want to fight lizardon(lizards with legs and swords that are evil)
In a dungeon that you need to solve puzzles to complete?
dont u wanna go on ur mount with ur friends soashing through dozens of enemies snd together beating the dungeon

Thats a zelda mmo

MattKan 11-23-2014 04:45 AM

So glad that there isn't a quest log.

I like combat too. I wish there was more epic PvE like a game such as this should have. And perhaps PvP could be expanded, seeing as how pk is barely relevant on iClassic.

I agree with every word you said. Dusty with a team working under him would make for quality content coming out at a quicker rate.

I'm curious about what Dusty thinks of this idea, and if he in any way has the power to make it happen, or at least suggest it to the higher-ups (assuming it's something he even wants).

was a well-designed quest

I just really wish that the approach of any new quests was focused more towards repeatable content

Getting teams together does not always make things as easy as you imagine, especially when a lot of staff actually have no experience working on larger projects and collaborating with others. That's not to say I don't, I have been working with others lately(but Big City was on the hush hush as per Unixmad's request since it dealt with Ol'West's release), but most of the time the bottlenecks are in areas that extra staff can't help with.

This is exactly why I haven't released a full-fledged dungeon... I don't want to focus on one-off quests but instead on content that has replay value. Dungeon-esque quests were what I had in mind when I started working, but I've realized they're not exactly suitable for the online environment. I have other ideas in mind to replace the void of no dungeon quests.

hint is so unfairly misleading because it specifically says on the damn main island, but maybe there is a chance that it spawns there

It says broken bridge on the main island(as opposed to the small island you start on). I'm not sure how it's misleading, but feel free to recommend a change in the wording.

MattKan 11-25-2014 04:40 AM

I need to find time to play this. :(

well, I think when the huge majority of people read that, they immediately think back to the bridge from when they first enter the map (on the small island), and I think most people (especially younger ones) would associate the word "island" with that little slab of land, too

if you read it properly then I guess it isn't really confusing, but I bet if you were to go to the map during peak hours then you'd see a ton of people digging on that tiny island at the entrance and wondering why they can't find anything

A massive amount of players(50+) were digging on the starting island as soon as Big City was released, just because the one NPC there was digging. I don't think much of it.

4-Lom 11-25-2014 08:13 AM

It's settled down nicely now.

Crono 11-25-2014 02:40 PM

Rather not do it than start and do nothing but flame Dusty & co.

G Fatal 11-27-2014 08:40 PM

Worth even doing?? + that scarf still in inventory from yrs ago?

Sardon 11-28-2014 02:52 AM

I think dungeons could fit in this game and would make many people happy

If you want it replayable make an npc let you reset the dungeon
(the dungeon prize is replaced with a couple of gralats instead once you reset it)

If you dont think Dungeons should fit in an online game like this
1. whats graal? ans: a zelda mmorpg
what does zelda games ALWAYS have? ans: dungeons

2. Get a friend to go beat dungeons on classic (pc)
Then replly to me

...that feeling when you and your friend are solving puzzles together fighting off baddies
feels like true adventure
