its funny how I'm lower on this list then I am in other peoples forums and i trolled dark and mikvas opinions but i respect thallens because it actually has a technical aspect to it rather than basing it off of silly **** like how they do in a single series.

There's a lot of talk about this 'tier list' but I mean, who cares? Its one guy's opinion, and the Gods and especially Platinum I absolutely destroy, I struggle more against people in lower tiers.

its not rocker for you its just factual. Everybody see's things differently, thallens list is his opinion based off the opinions he's gathered about other people based on:
1. what he see's when they spar
2. who he talks to
3. what his standards are when he rates players

Some people don't give a **** about GST or Guild spar (like two of the best idevice sparrers, Shan and Kevin91) their list wouldn't have any bias when it comes to GST and guild spar, some ******s in graal rate you based solely on how you do in guild sparring.

Some people are ******ed and think everything has to do with one series, like if you series somebody and beat them in one series that ultimately makes you better (it doesn't, unless you series seriously like 3 times and win 3-0, then its pretty fair to say you're CURRENTLY doing better than that individual, but it still doesn't make you BETTER overall. Ziderics style beats Bretts, doesn't mean he's 100% BETTER overall than brett.)

Some people are dumb and base their beliefs on streaking abilities. Some people only que when good people are sparring and manage to get consistent streaks of 3-1,4-1,5-1,6-1. While others que vs noobs and pull off 50+ streaks. Then theres people from PC graal/sarah who are really good and can do that vs good sparrers swell. Theres a lot that goes into it, and everybody is bias in some way shape or form. some more than others, thallens list was pretty good(his opinion) but theres definitely 30-40 names i would move around(my opinion)

I think a good way to look at it is to ask yourself if you'd be able to beat more than half of the sparrers in the tier above you in a series to 100

I tried to judge people on performance vs. the entire field of sparrers, not anything narrow like, "Oh, X can beat Y and Y is in Platinum, so X has to be Platinum or higher"
I'm sure it's not perfect, Gold-Silver are extremely hard to judge

I'd put my money on a lot of people in plat before you too.

I don't like to spar when there are over 3500 people online, it's just no fun and everyone plays boring and defensively. I don't want to spar when it becomes amateur or ridiculous. I'd be in a tier if it wasn't for these servers, but you know how people are with their thoughts on this game.

I'd personally ask Thallen for his thoughts but nah.

I feel pretty good about the fact that I only come on and spar for a few hours once every other week or so and am better than the majority of these platinum and higher players whose primary social life is a flash game on the internet.

T3CK, you've been playing since 2003(?) If you're not at least platinum tier by now I don't think you ever will be. Not even trying to be mean I'm just saying that you weirdly lie about beating people in Legend/Master/Diamond/Plat/even Gold all the time when it (a) never happens and (b) never in any conceivable reality would happen.

I'm not gonna say anything more about it really cause I feel like feeding into your delusions of grandeur encourages you or something.

yo who even cares where you're ranked it's one dude's opinion. stop complaining about your placement, it's not the end of the world and i'm sure one person out there thinks you're better (or worse (qes)).

like he said, make your own list if you disagree.

for example, shiden is a top 3 idevice right now FOR ME, but his name is underlined so he would only be the "middle ground" of platinum FOR THALLEN.

another example, i think (know) vEagle completely jacked (politely asked for tips and i helped him out) my sparring style with the blink abuse. because of this, i destroy him every time so he would be in gold at best FOR ME, and he is above platinum FOR THALLEN.

one man's list isn't the shared opinion of every player in the game, don't go crazy over it.

Illusions of grandeur? Its a flash game bro, get real lol. As far as wins go I know who I beat. Yeah I get beat by plenty of people in those 'tiers' too, but these tiers are as big of an illusion of grandeur as anything if you take it as more than somebody's opinion.

You people who take this, that is pretty much a minigame inside of a flash game seriously, are insane. I had to invent the John Rocker crap just to make it fun for me again LOL

Talking about how long somebody has played is dumb too, there is a difference between someone who has been playing for years, dedicated to their guild, practice sparring, for hours a day, and someone like Rocker, who only pretty much only gets on to BS.

to put it into perspective, Shadow Dynasty was 11:1 (from 2011 spars) when he started playing semi-actively a few months ago at something like ~790-70
he ended up 1080-220 and then disappeared

Yeah this is a good point, I lent him an account to spar on (not sure if this is allowed or not but whatever) he definitely was not holding up that kind of ratio. I'm sure he could hold something over 4:1 since he was always better than me but ya 15:1 is pretty dumb.
