Dark (RD) vs Red (Whitebeard)
These guys literally hate each other so whatever the outcome is it'll be hilarious. Dark has always been somewhat of a meme in the RPS community. I think after losing 20-something RPSTs in a row, he finally got his first RPST win during the last tournament. He tends to rank himself pretty high in RPS tiers but no one is really sure what he's thinking when he does that. Red on the other hand sees through this and won't have much of a problem winning this round.
Predicted winner: Red (Whitebeard)

Shoutout to ever set up this match, lmfao.
Hopefully my skills gained over my 10:1 RPS Career will help me take out this tourny today.

I'm predicting Colin to go over Carly due to Carly being DQ'D for speed RPSING

Tidus 12-10-2016 11:42 PM

Make sure you tune into twitch.tv/205tv for live commentary on the RPST!!

By the looks of it, James supported Unixmad way too much.

Bryan* 12-11-2016 12:27 AM

I need to get invited, helloooo

Colin 12-11-2016 01:10 AM

If someones opponent no shows you bring in a sub, but when Kierans opponent no shows you give him an automatic win... RIGGED

Fulgore loses the first match but because the lighting was dark (spotlight was on them could clearly see he lost) you say the match is void because you couldn't see it (you could).... RIGGED

Get your pitch forks everyone

Colin is right the whole thing is rigged

Tidus 12-11-2016 04:21 AM

nothing was rigged lol wtf Fulgore won, and Colin got flawed

James205 12-11-2016 04:23 AM

Congrats to Zetectic on his improbable win, 2 legends went down (Kieran and myself) relatively early and Zet was an absolute animal with his 7-0-1 and 5-4-2 and even pulled out the risky 6-6-7 in the finals to a 10-1 win. Amazing stuff and inspiring.

Final thoughts:
  • Was hosted well, with a few (kinda big) exceptions that I'll get to in a bit.
  • Was too long, do 32 next time, but give players with higher placing from this tournament priority over those with lower placements/newbies.
  • Letting Fulgore through to the second round even after he had very clearly lost was annoying
  • Letting Kieran have a bye, when his opponent was a no-show, instead of using a sub (like you did for everyone else) was also annoying.
  • Giving Carly the win against Colin THAT SHE LOST, also annoying.
  • Coldest surprised me, no idea where he came from. He did super well until the finals, idk wtf happened to him there...
  • The library was funny.
  • The stadium and room looked great.
  • I did alright I guess, placed top 16. Was kinda hoping for Top 8 at least though, but props to Belle on beating me fair and square.
  • Gratz to Zet on winning.

We anticipated PRIOR to the match that the player wasnt on so we already were aware of the situation by the time it came up on steam.

You are the best! The big surprise, did you know there was a stream???

Thallen 12-11-2016 04:53 AM

the rigging thing is only funny if it's planned between players
or if the tournament doesn't take 4 hours and younger people aren't incentivized by a real-money prize

just my opinion though, didn't watch but people seem actually annoyed by it

Tidus 12-11-2016 04:58 AM

the rigging was lame its a shame more people dont take the rock paper scissors tournament seriously its a very competetive event

ator 12-11-2016 05:05 AM

Well to be brutally honest, this was never supposed to be a die hard serious tournament from the beginning.

For those that actually watched the tournament or saw significant parts of it, everything we did was a complete joke. Sure, we wanted everyone to have fun, but money-thirsty try-hards that wanted to win for the sake of the prize was not our intention.

Some of the stupid stuff we did (intentionally) includes, but is not limited to:
- The entire history regarding RPST
- The 'combos'
- The RPS cheat tools
- The 'nitros'

If you weren't able to catch on yet, it was all sort of mocking the spar community. Not in hopes to break it apart or to disparage it, but mainly in a comical manner. We'd make fun of "delayers' and use of "VPNs" to gain unfair advantages in RPS, which we all know is ridiculous. We'd even say that some people were lagging, which effected the outcome, which once again is ridiculous.

So please, please do not be so sore about this tournament. It was an experiment.

It was for fun.

I think we all understand that, but I doubt that changes the fact that a few people probably didn't get much joy out of getting screwed over. Even though nothing was done to me, I personally just dislike seeing people get screwed over in general so I will say I am a little annoyed at that.

Fun experience excluding this stuff.

No one was screwed over and that's just taking this too seriously which was never the intention of the tournament. It was purely for fun and maybe someone wins in the end for $20 which is how more of this game should be (for fun). This was easily the most fun event I've been apart on iClassic.
