I think a simpler solution should be in order. Whenever a drop button is pushed, a pop up that advises against trading should come up.
"Do you want to drop this item? Be aware that you drop at you're own risk. There is a chance you may loose your items permanently with no compensation." I like the ability to drop items. I think all weapons however, should be non droppable, unless they are for fun. Yes, it's unfair to give out a free Melee that can rival an expensive Melee or an EC Melee. I think holiday shops should be the only place to get those special items. Any way you look at it, a real trade system kills the game. So either make the warnings noob-proof and in players faces everytime they drop items... or only enable job and minor items to be dropped. |
There's already a warning message before you drop?
|
Make it a achievement to look at the drop screen for a full ten seconds.

Maybe just a system where items need to be "trading approved". Basically, could just add in outdated/removed items per judgement of staff. If times between original release and approval are large, people would still buy the item from stores. Also, some sort of fee ~50 gralats would be able to remove sone cash from circulation. Lastly, item durability/limit on number of times a certain item can be traded could help.

Well account scamming is against the rules, so major scammers can actually be banned if dropping is disables and they resort to that, my idea? Dropping deletes the item. This way you can get rid of crap still.
Everyone is so silly about this, trading harming economy, rich irl players dominating, this could all be solved by making trading only allowing items that cannot be sold. Meaning you only recycle those unsellable things, meaning the only way to get a new one of those things is to buy it or earn it via the game which hasn't caused any problems so far... If you can only trade what you can't use to convert into gralats and can't trade gralats.... Then there is no Way to harm the economy, even though without trading there wouldn't really be a economy since prices are set and quanity and demand doesn't come into play... |
No more ecs for achievement because Paul Frank had to be a baby about it

Well Snk, whatever you choose... keep in mind that with this major change, there can be possible repercussions. I don't know what those could be per se... Could be young players quitting, could be other people who quit, or no one will care about the change very much. Hit or miss...

Who said that? If the MANAGER of Graal says they are not, then that person is a Mr. Liar.

He also listens to Unixmad (Stephane Portha) who only cares about money, loves to censor posts, and has shown he will ignore players and try to squeeze players into maintaining a costly and nonplayer friendly subscription without giving a rats ass about what people care. People can add tons of work to the game, and he will still have them pay. Not to mention he is hated because he rips off other peoples games and steals them. Remember that old alien game? Basically, the reason we will not get what we ask is because the game is owned by two men in Europe who don't deserve to control this game and no doubt have limited what it could become. Yea Stefan made this game, but he doesn't do a good job of running it. |
just make the System and keep the players drop there gift. o_0 Sample.
|
Or you could limit the number of drops a person can do per day.

make a drop exchange. Basically make something not intended as trading that is hard to scam if people know what they're doing, but not advertised as trading or even related to item exchange at all.

I recommend removing the following items from droppable, Stefan doesn't want strong weapons to be given :
1)Umbrella 2)Taser 3)Crab Daggers 4)SPD Dagger 5)Amber (yes, it has an annoying knock-back) ~ Small off topic suggestion, remove the player freeze from the knock-back, since it would make it far harder to kill someone while they are cutting us off. |
I agree lol but not tazer im getting very good offers for it :p
|
Yes, not taser, because we don't want to upset one person out of 1,200+ daily players.
|
just make ANY items dropable...
