This concept works better as a video game, not an anime. Excellent narrative, however the anime lacks meaning as there's no 'goal' for the protagonist, Phoenix Wright, to reach. Sure, be a fantastic attorney, but that's not definitive. They're a collection of shorts that have little link to each other, killing the continuity. I'm glad that the cases are extending over multiple episodes. Yay! I'm marking it down because of that and it's a little too slow for me (though, I suppose they do need to introduce characters).

Their eyes are too small, and the court background looks a little strange, as if it was 3D modelled using a noob texture. Other than that A+.

WHY would you NOT USE the ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK. IT WAS SUPERB. I do like the opening, BUT WHAT EVEN. While you can hear Objection! 2001 at https://youtu.be/GSq2c4UWmWM?t=17m20s, it sounds so... 'eh'. Rather than Cornered (Variation). All their themes are strange too. Maya's Ace Attorney theme is sort of in her anime theme as the liefmotif but it's only for a bar or so. They should've kept Gumshoe's theme as well. There's also the first Recollection song in there, thankfully(?) though it's not the best but....
I don't like Edgeworth's voice.

I have no objections (get it) to the characters. They're a tad understated compared to the video game, but that's alright. I blame it on the music.

All in all, the Apollo Justice spin offs would have worked better in this format IMO. Given that it is 2 episodes in there's still room for it to either be made or broken.

TL;DR: Play the game first, it's better. I'd give the game(s) a 10/10 honestly.

Finally got around to binge watching the second season of Haikyuu!! and I'm left having to wait for season 3... This is the first and only sports anime I've ever watched and I love it!

Currently binging it to, it's pretty good, much better than Kuroko, more realism and no BS super powers. I don't watch much Shonen sports anime like those two, but I certainly adore other sports anime that are more philosophical like Ping Pong the Animation and Chihayafuru. Then I also watch Saki because I wanted to learn how to play Mahjong :P that didn't work out at all.

Why did you give the games get a 10/10 in story and the anime a 9/10 when the anime is adapting the game?

Only soundtrack I would LOVE to see in the anime is Logic and Trick :(

Again, you need to realize that they're adapting the game, meaning that the plot will be FROM the game. I've only played the first game and playing through Justice For All, and Phoenix has no goals either.

Isn't his voice the same one as the game? (At least I kinda remember a similar voice in Dual Destinies)

They used Cornered in the latest episode so soundtrack should get +5 points k. 10/10

What I'm really wondering is will they adapt the extra cases that were added into the DS trilogy. I really like Rise From The Ashes.

Anyway, so far, I'm really liking how it's being adapted. Turnabout Sisters was beautifully done, let's hope they do Turnabout Samurai justice.

9/10 anime so far. I wish the art could have been better.

The game's overarching goal, completion of all the episodes, doesn't transfer well to the anime, as an anime isn't interactive. Therefore, as it lacked an adequate goal that would link all the episodes together and give them a purpose for PW, I had to unfortunately detract 1 point from the story :(

has anyone here watched Miyuki? i found it randomly on the kissanime list. i think it was a great romance comedy. good characters filled with different personalities. i can say it was an anime that represents the people of japan in 1983. i learned what they had(technologies-wise), what they liked to do, their culture, perspective of foreigners, typical japanese pervert thoughts, it was all mixed nicely together. i'd only recommend you to watch it if you feel thirsty, but bored of watching 3 hot or cute girls seducing 1 boy anime.

Just skimmed through the h-scene of Unlimited Blade Works visual novel lol. It's very detailed... just like how the h-scene in Fate route was... Anyways, I'm on day 16 aka the final day. It has been a great read so far. The anime changed a lot when it comes to the final 3 days of the Holy Grail War xD but still great nonetheless.
I should be starting Heaven's Feels soon after tomorrow.
