So today I just realized if you fully upgrade a legendary gun (except for the last three damage upgrades that require ascendant materials) you get like 6 ascendant energy + one of those gun booster packs for that specific weapon. I will definitely keep that in mind.

Really? The weapon I did it with was The Swarm since I had 3 of them. I wonder if I just got lucky or something.

Phew. I was able to do the weekly nightfall by myself. All I got was the Achlyophage Symbiote though.

It's okay. I dismantled the helmet and got only two shards anyways. I want to do it on my second account, but it's too risky. I like to use Bladedancer as an escape tactic, but my second account hardly has it leveled up.

Why would you dismantle it. Even if you don't want to use it now you shouldn't have dismantled it for only 2 shards, it's and exotic after all. The perk for the 4th golden gun shot is pretty much the best possible thing a hunter gunslinger can have for the VoG

I wouldn't necessarily say "easy", but I was able to get it done in one go so I didn't have to restart.

I've gotten it 3 times already. I use it as my main helmet and don't really need extras for anything else.

EDIT: I upgraded my legendary Invisible Hand shotgun up to this point to dismantle it...

and it gave me 5 ascendant energy + a shotgun telemetry. I read up a little more on this and it doesn't work for legendary equipment, just legendary weapons. So this does work.

Yea if you dismantle legendary and exotic weapons you have a chance of getting the telemertry for the weapon type

i have it but idk how I feel about it. Its good in crucible but I find it hard to use in pve when you have to shoot so many enemies
