wow o wow.
Flame war on the anime thread? Practically a unicorn. |
lolwuthappenedhere?
Anyway, finished Black Bullet; the second half was boring and the ending was mediocre, and then right when I say the show isnt psychotic, the last episode suddenly becomes psychotic Spoiler
And started Blade&Soul which started off really good. hopefully it doesnt get boring and let me down at the end like BB. |

So Tokyo Ghoul anyone? I was very impressed by the debut. Great set-up, beautiful animation. Too bad they killed off Rize already, she was pretty badass. (unless the doctor saved her too and is hiding her.) |
Tokyo Ghoul was a very impressive opening, but let's wait till any other series are able to top it. Glasslip is also good, PA Works does it's work in having such a beautiful art style.

Yeah really digging Tokyo Goul. Hell of a way to kick off the Summer season anime for me. Fingers crossed SAOII won't be a disappointment when it airs in 1 day. |
So I've been starting anime again.
Marathoned Angel Beats (I know, I'm way late) Spoiler
Caught up with NGNL And currently watching Mekakucity Actors (I think that's how it's spelled?) |

cause look how the last one turned out |
No no no glazey, last season was a blast for me, I'm a legit fan of sao, nothing can really waver my thoughts about it and this episode made my love for it rise.

SAO2: started off steady, train's a'rollin. Not a bad setup. Hopefully the fact that Kirito is supposed to have a girl online player doesnt destroy the show beyond the slight pervertedness that is destined to be present. If this season goes barreling off its tracks again, Im dropping the series again. Blade&Soul: will finish tomorrow. The plot is just all over the place, but surprisingly it is still able to entertain me somehow. |

Mmmk.
Well done SAO II. Off to a somewhat good start. They sure as hell covered a lot in one episode while doing absolutely nothing. |

I sure as hell don't remember the first episode of the first arc being one giant ass conversation in a overpriced coffee shop. But whatever. What comes after is probably gonna make up for this. Hopefully... |

The first episode needs to be a big impression, compared to it's first season's first episode, SAO 2 did not make that great of an impression. Now Tokyo Ghoul, that is one fine first episode, hell I think Railwars had a better first episode than SAO 2.
|
Aldnoah Zero seems pretty good.

Tokyo Ghouls first episode, hawt dayum. Nozaki-kun had a good first episode too. Aldnoah Zero will be probably be the mech choice of this season. Still getting through with first episodes, still have Glasslip and Akame ga Kill to watch then it's off to finish Black Bullet and If Her Flag Breaks. |
Akame ga Kill seems like itll have a good plot, just taking a few guesses from the startup. Although the downfall is going to be the lame main character.
Dramatical Murder.... eh not sure if im going to care for the story yet, but the animation is very beautiful. |

Nagi no Asuk--- I mean Glasslip, starts off with the love ****ery because it cannot be deemed a shape. Looks amazing, expected nothing less from PA Works.
Akama ga Kill, violent and dark as ****. Love it already, heard it was toned down quite and bit from the manga though, but still. Dayum. |

We'll see how it plays out, still a strong opening to the series. Out of all the first episodes so far this season, will definitely have to go to Tokyo Ghoul. Only one that might out do it will be Zankyou no Terror. |
Pretty Rhythm & Aikatsu

Gotta wait and see where it takes us. Edit: Just watched first episode of Re: Hamatora. Happy to see one of my favorite series coming back so soon. |
I think SAO2 will be good, yea the first episode wasnt great but thats because theyre catering to their old SAO audience who pretty much already know what its about, if you hadnt seen the other series you would have had no idea what going on. But i definitely think episode 2 is where its going to pickup which was why they didnt include any of kirito being in the game throughout the first episode, saving for the secound

Finished Durarara, I wanna kick my own ass for not finishing it as fast as I should have. Season 2 hype.
|
I finished the first episode of Sword Art Online II. Honestly, I think I will enjoy this anime. The first episode doesn't always need to be a fantastic over the top thing to draw people in. It sometimes just needs to be a standard introductory to what's going on. If you judge an anime based on the first episode then you shouldn't be watching anime in the first place.
|
Most standard procedure that a lot of people take, synopsis somewhat interesting, watch, get 3 Episodes in, if you think it'll get better, continue, if not, drop and pick up something else.
I know the first episode is not the best way to judge an anime, but I did not like the idea on how people a few posts ago had said about how good the first episode was. Now there is a few shows where the first episode is so good, you pretty much have to watch the rest of the series *cough* Tokyo Ghoul *cough*. On another note, Ao Haru Ride, feels anime of the summer, must watch. WATCH IT NAO! |
How violent is Tokyo Ghoul? I heard it's really good, but I don't handle gore well at all. I mean if it's like Attack on Titan that's perfectly fine. If it's like Elfen Lied then it's definitely cutting it close. Anything beyond that I probably won't watch.
|
Worse than Attack on Titan, but not Elfen Lied level.
|
99% of the time, anime that have monster and youkai in them or whatever, and the battlefield is in the middle a city like Tokyo or others, it's crap. That's how I view it lol.
Though I actually liked Tokyo Ghoul based on the first episode though. Who knows what they will surprise us with? The one I'm pretty worried about is SAO II. If it's gunna be like the first season; super strong start at beginning, and just go whooooops, downhill? Idk what to say. |
Quote:
but yeah, Tokyo Ghoul has more gore than AOT |
So long as it's not Elfen Lied or above! I'll give it a shot. I finished watching Pandora Hearts after all this time. It's a shame it never continued as an anime.
|
Quote:
Based on the first episode, it seems like this is a bloody anime. But not even close to Attack on Titan or Elfen Lied's type of bloody so don't worry. No human bones will be sticking out. And sorry if the first paragraph spoils anything. |
i might start watching anime any suggestions
