Well, i do not know what the sign means, but i have more mysterious clues! If you head down to swamp, you see the house at the bottom left, which you can enter by the top in rat form.. There is a book open that reads "it seems the gnomes have blocked off their mine path to babord...i wonder why.. Could it be... TREASURE?! Im taking the long route, i can NOT miss this." This house is owned by Miser, not by the cave owner, elster.
You can also see keys in the cave, which i think the drunk man was talking about, leading to treasure.
Another hint could be the mine in mod town, the one the guard is protecting. If you go tothe black lotus, there is a man who says "there are rumours that there are booby traps and puzzles... Wonder what they could be protecting."
Finally there is the bombers cave, related to the balamb expedition.. Could these all be related? Could the zorbis be protecting the treasure? Could this mysterious man living in a cave be a thief? Reply some thoughts and comments.

OMFG IT'S A TILE!

It's not a level tile, it isn't in line with the other level tiles, and it isn't attached to the brick image so I'm pretty sure it's something

Meteor 04-15-2013 01:36 AM

I think it's part of those tiles that surround the hole

It isn't, look extremely closely and you will see it stops halfway between a rock which is actually a tile. I am pretty sure whatever is underneath the brick is an image or some sort

"You can claim a Hera's crystal in the Zorbi's waterfall"
My best attempt.
Does it mean anything? No.
Will it mean anything in the far future? *glaces at Rufus* hold him down! make him squeal!

Well, I'm just going to share my theory:

The Santa Claus looking hobo (as described by Kirito/Roma) used to live in the house in southwest Swamptown. He was extremely rich but never liked to share his wealth, which was why the sign outside his door says "Miser". This also explains why he's hoarded so many things in his cave because that's what misers do.

So this man gained all of his wealth from treasure; he's a treasure hunter. He just so happened to receive information about a crystal that's in a waterfall and notices that gnomes have restricted access to their mines. The gnomes probably mined the crystal and the Miser wants to steal it.

He decides to try and find the hidden crystal and begins stealing things from all over graal, and even from other games to get information of its whereabout. The clues he finds lead him to someone in the carnival tent in northwest MoD, that may have a map of where the crystal is. He tries stealing it from this man but has to end up killing him, which is why the carnival tent is no longer accessible.

He must've received the whereabouts of the cave and preceded to quickly move all of his things to the cave. He locks the door of his house in Swamptown, but leaves his diary behind. He changes his name (or it could be the same) and dresses as a poor hobo so the guards never find him to arrest him of murder.

When he's in the cave, he reads the sign which tells him about the "crystal in this waterfall". He decides to block off the water with gold bricks and scribbles out parts of the sign in case anyone finds him.

Above the whole in the cave you can see the gold bricks which seem to be blocking the water supply. If you look closely you can see where the water came out of.

He wants to keep the crystal a secret so he pretends he has no idea about the waterfall or the sign.

Tadaa! That's my theory. I know this is kinda far-fetched but I had a lot of fun thinking this through!

That's a cool theory.

Hasn't the sign said "Miser" for a really long time though?
