I want the right to vote, my say in who runs the country (Australia is doing terribly right now); I want the right to have a job, so I can work. Believe it or not, there are many homeless teenagers out there because they aren't able to gt a decent job due to their age; and I want the right to do what I want with my life, like I could fly to Sydney if I wanted (aka more legal freedom).

Read my above post on minors voting. Also, there should be no teenagers out on the street, they should at least be in public school or an orphanage, unless they ran away from home which is their fault in the first place, and I'm sure some shelter will be glad to take them in. You don't need a job if you're a minor, you need school and education. The age limits on everything that has one is there for a good reason.

I don't live in NSW. And I hate cleaning.

Firstly, Labor never keeps their promises.
Secondly, maybe I want to earn a good amount of money without doing chores.
Thirdly, going to Sydney was just an example.

If you think household chores are a pain, you really should reconsider getting any job. That's all they are, but for hours on end.

There are too many people under 18 that are idiots and not enough that can make proper decisions to justify lowering the voting age.

All I need for rights is to sneak on the computer at 0AM

Your parents sound like mine.

My solution was talkback...
I took control and told them I'm old enough to handle myself.

I'm 13.

Your parents should beat your ass for talking back; seems like parents don't really discipline their children anymore which is probably why more and more kids are growing up with a sense of self entitlement.

"A kid doesn't understand that they -- meaning the kids -- are our chores. That is, one of our chores is teaching them how to do chores (knowing they'll need to know how to do all of this stuff before long)"

"Chores suck seven shapes of ****. And most of you do them, begrudgingly. Or you split them with a sibling, or whatever the system is to make sure they interfere with what you really want to do as little as possible. But much, much sooner than you think, you're going to be responsible for all of that ****, from top to bottom. And if I could go back in time, I'd grab my teenage self by the shoulders and say, "Go learn how to do all of that **** Mom is doing. And I mean all of it.""
