Thats how Apple has always been.

At least with old Android devices you can root and download a firmware that works fast for your phone. Hell people are still rooting G1's on xda forums. With Apple once you download you're stuck with it. And if you dont download it eventually all the apps will be incompatible. So you get ****ed either way unless you buy a new device which is what Apple wants you to do.

Thats why for example my iPhone 3GS was fast a few years ago. Now its slow because it cant handle the new firmware.

What do you expect apple to do, never upgrade their phones? When they bring out a new phone they make it faster, meaning the other ones are slower. They only bring out 1 phone a year anyway and my iPhone 4 can handle IOS7 easily and that came out 4 years ago (maybe 3 correct me on that). Yes I can admit that 3GS sucks now, but you can pick up a iPhone 4GS for $500 (http://store.apple.com/au/buy-iphone/iphone4s) brand new straight from apple.

I don't understand what your getting at, I don't know much about android but if their not making their phones faster every time they release one then that's a ****ty company and apples better.

Actually, I'll be sticking with 5.1.1 and an amazing custom theme I made myself. When an iOS7 jailbreak comes out, I'll probably wait a month or so for things that are developed (Cydia tweaks, themes) to be 7.0 compatible.

iPhone 5s for 500$? Sorry bud. But not many parents spend 500$ for a kid to have a talking piece of glass... A 16 gigabyte Galaxy S4 costs only 200$.

In a way yes. But I'm not JUST saying they're cheap. You can just search up comparisons of the Galaxy S4 and iPhone 4S on the Internet. Galaxy S4 holds all the aces.

A 16 GB iPhone 5s with contract is also $200. 32 is $300 and 64 is $400.

@Era my point was Apple restricts you. Android gives you the freedom of choice. If you downloaded iOS7 on your iPhone for example, and you don't like it or noticed it has affected your phone's speed, well tough cookies because Apple doesn't let you downgrade for no apparent reason. Even being jailbroke it's a royal pain to downgrade.

Android is the opposite. You get the freedom of choice. You control your phone, not the company you bought it from.

iPhone is for filthy casuals.

And yeah @earlier post, the XDA devs are doing an amazing job keeping all the "older" phones update and stuff.

Something that always amazes me about apple is their phone batteries lmfao, they use lower ram, have worse (in terms of hardware) processors, yet my friends iPh5 dies before he even gets home, while my gs3 is at 50% when the day is done (In use, 10-15h standby).
We started the day at 6;30, ended 22;50(went to a restaurant), he couldn't use his phone after 18;00 lmfaooo...my was at 3% when going to bed.

Shows how much ppl can say what they want about app/os optimisation on phones, apple's so said "easy" iOs, uses a shttt**** of battery if you play a game or browse on the web, my gs3 is customised to death, hell 5 pages of heavy widgets, still beats yo'

Its crazy, my family, friends all have iPhones and complain about them 24/7, yet they won't change and buy a s4 or htc 1...


TLDR; Try android, you'll never come back to apple

It's just a bunch of phones. No impact in life.

I actually don't enjoy using android very much. It seems bulky to me.
