I hit a bump in the road, im completely stumped on how to balance the alien pistol. Its expensive and hard as hell to get (easily harder than rippers) and i do not want it to be a god gun cause then everyone will get it, nor should it be a showoff gun like it is now. I dont have the gun so i got no clue how it feels and i can only go off stats. Currently, i have it a .01 rof faster than photon allowing a slightly faster t2k and an easy tap fire. But im stumped on slightly decreasing the clip size, decreasing recoil, and range tinkering. Any suggestions?

so i have no clue how this sounds to everyone else, but the rail gun i made into a god gun with the fastest t2k and a 30 clip. Most of you are like Ghetto wot r u doin? BUT if theres a god gun then i want to add in Shooter Hitpoints, from my understanding of it, the user takes damage every time they use the gun. So with this, i wanted to add in a Shooter Hitpoint of 1.5 meaning in a 30 clip, they will use up 45 HP to use 1 clip of this gun. So i don't know if this type of thing would be tolerated in the zone community and how it would play out... My biggest worry is people will abuse the gun and commit suicide to keep their streaks alive or reset their bounty

Could always suggest that you let it weaken them to 0.5 health, slow them tremendously (if they try to use it at 0.5-1.5 health), not fire and instead make them a sitting duck for the next 5 seconds for being a dumbass.

Cookie and Ghetto should be a GA duo for iZone. They'd either leave it burning, which wouldn't be too much of a difference, or balance the sh*t out of the server and make it an actual fun place to pk/base/spar/whatever.

Shooter Hitpoints is not actually set up. The difference between AP Rippers and the Rail Gun is that people bought it with Gralats. Not Zone Coins.

Make it a more different weapon, like the flamethrower and goonadier. Give it life leech or something, make it unique, such as having tracking, while with reduced damage. I'm sure people like unique weapons, and currently alien rifle does not reward that much for the 1200 zc. If the alien rifle is fun and interesting to use, then it will be worth the price. Also note that the price of the alien rifle also counts on the alien blades, you could buff that as well.

Honestly, most of the weapon in the events store is not worth it after the introduction of rippers. With 600 zc, you can get two rippers, or the slightly weaker railgungun. What must happen is that the railgun be superior than the rippers. It would take more effort to get, so reward the player with a better weapon.

I'd love to see the insanely high swing speed for weapons turned WAY the **** down depending on the time. Have most weapons slower, but with some kind of pro. Whether it be increased speed, life leech or whatever, I just think something to change the monotony of it all would be interesting. We also need some damn reapers. Melee and gun in one yo

Or you could always implement the energy system so that you can't swing at the speed of light constantly for the next millenia. Make many misc things use it and even some weapons. Instead of an ammo reserve they draw from your energy.

Make the flamethrower actually have some damn range and leave flames on the ground. Being hit by anything other than melee will set you on fire for a few seconds.

Goonadier is fine. It slows people down which is a huge perk. It can guard an area and deter invaders for a while.

so i made the alien pistol a sort of "burst" type gun. It has a low clip of but dat rof though.

the idea of a melee gun is good, should be on the alien pistol and have there be another button you press and you get a short animation of the gun turning into a blade

Surprised there isn't some sort of "charge-up" weapon in zone.

One that does a fairly large amount of damage, low clip, and of course, charges up before firing.

i don't think era even has one, it would be nice to have in zone though.

You mean damage fall off? That'd give it more of a TF2 feel and would certainly add something, but Zone doesn't use damage spread or ramp-up, so meh.

Also, Zone PC had something similar to a charge up. The old chaingun was needed to be reved up for like 3 seconds before it unleashed hell, though once you got hit you had to do it all over again.

Most guns on Zone that were bought from the weapons trade also had an alt fire that used up an entire clip to fire a bigger sized projectile that did immense damage, but it was very easy to see and often left you depleted of ammo fast.

But seriously, melee needs more diversity and every melee needs to be toned down by around 1/2 to 3/4 in speed.

Pistols should have a shorter range for damage.

Rifles and stuff should have a higher range.

He's talking about damage fall-off where let's say a gun that hits someone within 5 blocks does full damage, but after that it loses 0.5 damage for every +2 blocks that it travels for a maximum fall-off of 3.5 damage after traveling a total of 19 blocks to hit their target (initial 5 included)

But I feel like it wouldn't really fit with any Graal server because none of them use damage ramp-up or even damage spread.
