I agree though, there's a great deal of self-designated elitism that seems to plague many of the coders on these forums.

People feel they need to prove they have a bigger **** than the other person basically. It's all part of being human and well... some feel if they invest that much effort into learning how to code, they need to let everyone know somehow hence your 'here are my crap scripts', "now tell me how good I am" threads.

It's not hard, after 3 years of my degree all they've taught me is how to draw nice pictures and write pretty reports.
