So I got it today, but I haven't been able to play it because Assassin's Creed Unity is taking too long to download. If I were to pop in Sunset Overdrive would it cause my Unity download to slow down immensely or no?

Not techinically a paid game. I think it's free but warframe looks good and its on both xbox and ps. The concept and characters are really cool.

If you've already downloaded sunset overdrive, you can play that while waiting for the download to finish. I think only multiplayer effects download speeds.

Playing another game shouldn't slow your download much(unless Sunset Overdrive has patches that need to be downloaded before playing).

You may experience lag while you play though.

I'm really liking the Xbox One so far. I decided to try AC Unity today and I'm just wondering if this game is like Dishonored where you can explore the area for each sequence (which it appears to be) or if you get to free roam wherever you desire without selecting a specific mission.

I heard the game is broken and unplayable lol.

What are you talking about? It's the most stunning powerpoint presentation I have ever seen!

AC is nothing like dishonored. It's an action game where you are an assassin that needs no stealth to kill hundreds of people. If you haven't played AC before, pick it up and play, but if you have (espdcially if you played one that had the great navel warfare) you'll probably find unity a downgrade or more of the same. AC is cool the first time. After that, I don't think it's worth the $60 price tag.

Is it worth paying $400 or whatever for an Xbox One now, or should I wait for another year for the holiday deals again and stick with the 360 for one more year?

Rexx 01-13-2015 02:16 AM

lol
Also @Tyler good luck downloading Unity...I'm guessing you got the bundle with a digital download copy of the game. After the initial download of the full game theres like ridiculously huge patch download...like 40 Gigs, and I still hear people saying the game is buggy as ****.

God forbid I didn't upgrade my DSL to 100mbps broadband, I'd still be downloading Halo MCC patches without even getting to play the damn game.

The next gen experience on both PS4 and Xbox has been underwhelming and frustrating.

I would wait. Read: above.
1) Cheaper console with larger HD's...its only been a year and many have already filled up the internal storage, on either console.
2) Better selection of games

I'm like a die hard Halo fan so I couldn't keep my **** in my pants, with Halo MCC and H5 beta out. Jumped the gun bought PS4 at launch, major mistake as well. Sold it.

Honestly I'd buy a Wii U if you want instant gratification for your purchase.

I'm actually getting it at the end of this month, so let's hope it goes well.

I've played AC before, but I'm used to free roaming the city and doing missions. In Unity it jumps me to different parts of the game starting a new memory and I was wondering if you could only free roam the area for those particular memories. Like how Dishonored you could free roam the area where the mascaraed party is. I'll probably find out playing it more, but I decided to put Unity on hold and try Black Flag first.

I'd wait until the end of this year if you already missed the deal.

Thanks and yeah I'm really surprised how much memory these games take up. I should have done more research because I had no idea game disks forced you to install them. Sunset Overdrive itself was 20 GB. Then I had to leave my console on all night just to install Unity which took up the most memory. The game has bugged out on me a couple times. I was surprised it froze on me during the very beginning of the game.

PC is the way to go/ the way to stay. It's so much easier to get games, there's more games, and you don't have to pay to get a new system after the Xbox one becomes the inferior console after a decade, give or take. You can just upgrade your pc at your own pace and even mod your old games to get a breath of fresh air in your library.

Though if I had to choose a console it'd be the PS4, Xbox seems more geared towards FPS games whereas Playstation has more of an RPG feel (What I mean by this is that RPG games just feel better to play on the playstation 4 than the Xbox one). Just my tastes but it's your choice, not saying the Xbox one is a bad console, but I just have more of a bias towards other systems.

You can always go out and buy an external HD. I hear the external usb 3.0 actually reads/writes faster than the console's internal memory. Faster load times.
The catch is you gotta hope whatever storage you get doesn't take a **** and corrupt itself after a few years~
