Bugs are missing…

So?...

Kieran2820 05-07-2015 11:27 PM

A friend told me that he asked hw why the bugs were removed until the weekend, and she said they are lowering the prices of bugs and making their spawn rate lower.

I sure hope he was lying...

Bug and animal spawns are currently disabled while we track down the source of the NPC server crashes that have been happening lately. It has nothing to do with changing bug prices or spawn rates.

With that said, there are plans to change how much money the jobs earn in the near future. Bug catching will be the last one to be touched, as we're still not sure whether or not it will be moved over to an experience based leveling system or remain a starter job as it is currently. Right now there is no reason for players to do any job other than bug catching, which is not a good thing for the server. Even after doubling the amount that diamonds and crystal logs sell for in the last few days, bug catching still earns more gralats per hour without any need to level it up.

Having jobs be fairly balanced will allow players to choose whichever one they find the most enjoyable instead of being forced into a particular job because it earns the most gralats per hour. It will also allow us to keep item prices down instead of having new items cost more and more money.

Very few people do bug catching due to its high profits, most do it because its actually fun. You dont just sit in one spot clicking a button over again. What you really need to do is make the other jobs more fun :) Besides, I have talked to people at the top of the woodcutting leaderboards who say they make about 10k per hour. It takes about thr same with bugs...

I'm really sorry but, we like bug catching because its fun and not distracting. I actually talk to people while bug catching! Thats how it was fun. Some people don't have some forum accounts who haven't seen this thou.

If you change bug prices... we will create huge angry mobs to burn & destroy every building on ol west.

Definitly Agree! Then when I crash my tree was already cut down by other else

I think it would be good if you catch a certain amount of bugs you get prizes, I think this should be done for all jobs to. Eg. Caught 5000 bugs there could be a bug trophy, hat or morph, same with mining and cutting trees to.
