exactlyt! players feel attached to a server because they have had to invest something into the game whether that be time, money, or both! thats how you build a player base! i feel like a lot of ol west people feel like they can easily come and go because, oh i only have to play a couple hours to buy all this new stuff i want no problem. they don't have to commit to the server to get anywhere so they dont end up building relationships in ol west because they dont have to stay very long to get anywhere. then they go back to whatever other server they play on because thats where their friends are.

Very good point, thank you for allowing me to understand :)
But I still dont understand why I left Classic when West was released, I had friends I had known for 2 years or so that I was leaving behind, yet I still left, and I do recall that it was easy then to earn gralats on West, yet I still loved it and stayed, and im still here.

But still, your point is very valid, and I actually believe nerfing was probably the best thing for the server, it was just my initial annoyance, as a player that wants every item in the game,(etc) that prevented me from believing you in the first place xD

Yup yup, just wait, as the player count rises, so will the prices, while available earnings remain the same. To say that what's sought for Ol' West is balance is a lie. That's what some will try to have you believe.

Though, just wait, watch. It'll go the way of Classic and Era.

A fatter bank account balance, for the faceless few, maybe? lol

edit: Pray I'm mistaken, 'cause, you know, I've really grown to like Ol' West. Also, I must note that I understand that these games need money to thrive, but, at times, at least where a couple of the servers are concerned, one can't help but feel robbed.

This. Thank you for seeing my point. As I said, I know the server gotta survive with the packs. But with the nerfs, the server is leaning toward the 'damn high prices, i feel i have to buy iap' rather than 'high prices? no worries as I can do some jobs and get gralats at a decent rate'. Tbh, I find Zone the most balanced, job-wise. Tashkin would actually buff the broken parts (trash) when the player count rose. But I can't win so let the staff do what it wants.

Still don't get why yall complaining, this server still has the easiest obtainable money by a long shot

both jobs needed to be nerfed since most of the people who do them use macros

If you mine emeralds, for 1 hour, the most you can approx earn is about 6960, and that is with a diamond pick, which costs 400 each, every 1200 hits. With calculation, 1 Diamond pick can last for approx 44-45 emeralds.
The most I calculated you could mine in an hour approx is 240. Which means you will need 5-6 Picks every hour. This is 2000-2400.
So essentially approx the most you can earn mining emeralds now is 4560-4960 Gralats per hour, and thats if you mine non-stop, including time for when you move to mine another rock.
(An Approximation).

And using those calculations, the max xp you can earn for emerald in an hour, with a Diamond pick is 24000.

Mhm, I wasnt 100% sure if it was right x-x, it was all approx, thats why I didnt make it into a guide.
But I guess I can make a guide for all rocks, only to an approx though.

Your latest guide referring to rubies mined with a gold pick is fairly off, you said you could make around 30 (one gold pick) yet I'm making around 50 :/

I only mine with wood pick because i see profit

Santa Claus 11-27-2015 12:02 AM

This is what I will do when I run out of diamond axes and on the fossil wood. I will buy my 100axes and see how much I can make back from it.
