Sounds like a neat idea :D

This idea is amazing! Sadly I'm sure a large portion of the community would complain like when graal city was pk. This is a major change and would completely change classic. I like it, but convincing stefan to allow it would be difficult.

solution to hardware dilemma: have an option to disable lighting.

The problem with this route is that it gives other people the advantage of being able to see better, and everyone would just turn off lighting.

This reminds me of how in Assassins creed it would be nightime and templar stalkers would try and kill you. I agree with the idea but I know a lot won't.

I see nothing wrong with that. The staff should be able to implement this well enough so that it looks fantastic and people would only choose to disable it due to hardware issues.

It doesn't matter how well it looks, the charm wears off after a while and more often than not people will choose the gameplay advantage of being able to see better over visuals.

I'm aware a lot of you play the PC version of GraalOnline. But are you aware of a server named "Atlantis?" If you do, you'll remember that they have a day/night GUI at the top of the screen. Maybe try this? It would also allow players to disable lighting, and still know the time of day.

Perhaps instead of using Deadwood's system, a similar one could be created using what is known as Hollywood Darkness. What I'm talking about is how in movies, when it's supposedly pitch black, there is sort of a bluish glow around the set so that the audience can see. Using something like that would alleviate the issue of the screen being too dark while still giving off the illusion of darkness.

Obviously nobody is ****ing reading the posts Dusty is making. Players will be able to see better if an option to disable the day/night system were to be added. This gives them an advantage over other players who have it enabled.

Assuming they implement it better than the Deadwood darkness, that would only really happen if you're ****ing blind and can't turn your brightness up.

I over read that, thank you! You'll be getting a +rep for proving my ignorance. ^_^

This would be ideal, but Graal doesn't make it easy to do such a thing. In my opinion, if it could be done, I'd rather see it make use of the lantern.

Not implementing an idea because of certain players not having the latest hardware would be completely idiotic. When taking into account how good this idea is, as well as player demand for something new to do, there is no reason this idea should not be put into action. Sure, the AFKers I mentioned might complain, BUT NO ONE CARES ABOUT THEM. Aside from that, I'm sure most Graal players have the necessary hardware for this idea to run smoothly(or not. Someone should do a survey on this or something.) Considering players with older hardware most likely make a minority of the playerbase, it is no reason to hold back Graal and good ideas for it.

I disagree.
