Also I'm fairly sure that once a file becomes uploaded to GraalOnline it becomes property of Toonslab, wouldn't this make selling the heads illegal once they've been uploaded as Toonslab owns them? |

I don't think that applies here; they sold it before it was Toonslab's property, so what the owner does with it has no further association with the site.
Either way, it's a pretty lame. Was a good concept, just doesn't work too well. |

I mean, the website looks cool, trendy and up to date with the latest web trends but the idea is horrible - no offence. All of the heads on there are just small edits of default heads anyone could do, whether they do graphics work or not. Good on Shiz and Fae for actually making things from scratch. I wonder how much profit you guys have actually made so far (taking in the fact that a lot of time and money was spent making this website).
I doubt this will take off. Kudos to whoever did the logo and the actual art for the website though, it actually looks really professional. Some parallax scrolling would have been nice :p Quote:

I actually love the website layout, it has that "smooth" feeling to it, looks sexy. |

Also, just because you don't like someones "edit", doesn't mean someone else won't. Overall I want to thank the developers of Graal Market for giving me a platform for me to provide graphics where I get some credit - rather than no credit at all - for my graphics which I would like to share for others to enjoy. |

Well i could of released it without having it any connections to graaldepot and have a different persona to act behind it. But in the end it's going to be owned both by me. |

Hoping more will pull some creativity out their ass and make original ones quite honestly. |
I post my classic style heads on there because I have a lot of people ask for them in game. And Graal Market offered the perfect opportunity to make a small amount of money on the side...
|
really rare to see people drawing heads/bodies from the scratch. i'll give a try one day.

how long should it take to see if we have been approved

What I don't like from this site is that the site owner gets part of the cut.
Should just make your own site, would that cost less? OR would using this site be more profitable? You can make money off of ads and selling content at full cut with your own site. But, this one you can only make money with what you put, plus the owned gets part of it... doesn't seem like a good idea. Would force people to set their prices higher just to get what they want. I might sign up and sell stuff, if I find out which is more profitable. |
The main appeal to me was that this was easy to do, once accepted.
If air made my own site people would still be like "use ifile and get any head you want" |

Huh.
So without doing much more research, has anyone worked here and not been paid fairly? How much do you suppose you deserve? Honestly curious and wiling to help pay for people who may have been cheated. |
I've made about $25 now. The only reason the amount is off from what I've actually earned is because of transaction fees from Paypal.
|
Nice! Also interesting. How much work did you have to do to earn $25? Could you break it down into a dollar/hour metric, like how a real-world business might? Or was it really based on several projects at a few dollars each?

I am very interested in this topic because it's close to my heart. The profiting of other people's work is a serious crime, but artists making a profit on their own art? Using templates and other items the community has offered up, for free? That's, quite frankly, the greatest thing I've heard going on in a long time, as far as Graal Art goes.
But that bootstrap website, mmm. Something about it draws me in while simultaneously making me distrust it. |

Hi I just read some of the posts here. I am really curious about this Graal Market. If one wants to be a vendor how does one apply? Is there any requirements such as fees or number of finished work needed to begin? And is it only head that we are allowed to sell, so no fanart or shields?
I also have a question. If a customer buys a head and it is rejected by GraalClassic does it get refunded or is that the customer's risk when buying? I'm interested in doing some original work if things are the way I think it is. Also, can anyone explain the paypal process? Like how does one make a paypal account? Is it safe? |
This is BS. Something as simple as a custom getting sold to wear for this game. Anyone who falls for buying these things deserves to lose their money, same to anyone who falls for selling their trash on here.
