12 fps is not playable

you can see the fps on the top of the window

will be interested to see if they develop this to the point where you can comfortably play it.

That's what they're trying and it'll be amazing if they make it work :D

captainhaxs 03-13-2017 12:58 AM

Im gonna retract my previous statement of "playable" to just "runnable". why?

1) runes dont work, so the first (tutorial dungeon magnetic ability doesn't, so you are stuck in the start area unless you find a save from beyond that point, so no "playable" would imply you can play-through the entire game,
2) as long as the average frame per seconds doesn't continuously crap out to 4 or below i dont really care. (you can see where it craps out in the video below)
3) water physics non-existent, fish flap around on the bottom of a pit, link can walk along the bottom like there is no water.
4) chest unlock cut-scene after clearing out an encampment, doesn't exit, so you have to restart.
5) after deleting my preexisting cache from earlier version of it, light rays effects started acting really strange. (which you can see in the video below)

heres a video, i threw together in an hour, i really should have used better capture software, but i'm lazy :P
Btw i didn't monetize this one, because its automatically monetized by Nintendo.

Well just saw that you can't bring a savefile from one switch console to another switch console

So if you ever break it and need to get a new one you basically lose all progress aswell :(

Dam that frustrating for switch owners, im sure someone will figure out a way to solve that, or Nintendo will patch that in... hopefully.

but what about save-files from another wii u to a different one? you do realize cemu is a wii-u emulator right? :\

i make redundant backups of my saves in an zip-file, and game-files just in case, but yea i understand how that could happen easily, especially if my wii-u gets bricked.

btw somehow the baddie-encampment chest unlock-cutscence now fully exits.

What's that have to do with anything?

Eugeen to be honest, i did missread your post and mixed up the context of it, and made a stupid snarky response. and so i ended up making a fool out of myself, my apologies.

Been playing for about 30 hours now, I only have 8 health (3 of them from the divine beasts.) and I somehow managed to get the hyrule shield had to try 2 times.

Also I are there humans? Like no pointy ears? Non-Hyrule humans?

Dusty officially beat the game (just defeated calamity ganon), but i didn't watch cause i didn't want to spoil it for myself. He's still gonna try to find all the shrines and stuff though. Just a little disappointed I guess that the side quests aren't more....worth while? Like every side quest basically just gives you rupees or some pointless item (like food or ores or whatever). Just feels like once you finish the main story quest line the game pretty much doesn't have much of a point to it other than trying to find all the shrines. Like for instance, in Skyrim all the side quest have like...some kind of story to them. They aren't just quick request some random people have that rewards you with money. I guess I can't complain too much since it is Nintendo's first open-world game and it was still extremely addictive and fun nonetheless. I was just hoping it would be kinda like Skyrim where it feels like it doesn't really have an end and the stories just keep going and going. Not that I wanted it to be Skyrim, just wanted it to have the same kind of feel that Skyrim gives you expect with the Zelda lore and style. It kinda feels like when you finish binge watching a TV show now. Just so empty :'(

But then again there is DLC that I am excited for. Though it's not coming out until like fall....

Eugeen 03-24-2017 11:04 PM

You can always try speedrunning the game

I'm hyped for that DLC, I defeated calamity ganon awhile ago, It does kinda feel empty after defeating it. Also there's a side quest on the "Vai only city" which is kinda lengthy that you could do for the Thunder Helm that Rija/Risa has.

Yeah I've been working on that quest. I really wish there were more extensive quests like that though. Like there's like literally only 2 quests that are like that
Spoiler
the thunder helm and the terry town questline

I think it would have added a lot to the game and made it feel longer and more immersive if there were more quests like those.

I think I realized why for the first time in 3 years I finally managed to play a single player game more than 10 hours with breath of the wild.... there's very little talking

i got bored of the witcher 3 cause most the 'stuff to do' was talking to people, going to some place, using detective vision, and then talking to someone else, then attacking enemies. With zelda the entire game is literally ****ing around outside of the divine beast stuff. I'd take a wacky snowball physics puzzle 100% of the time over a really good story side quest that mostly involves detective vision and fighting enemies when it comes to actual gameplay.

SHRINES IS THE BEST THING

MisterFace 04-04-2017 04:28 AM

So has anyone played it on PC yet? I want do download CEMU and BoTW with it, but my PC most likely wont be able to handle. I heard thousand dollar computers struggle with 30 FPS since its hardly optimized.

I don't think it fully works on pc yet (as in lots of bugs) but yeah some people have played bits of the game on pc but unless you got a really good computer you won't be able to get a steady framerate

HamStarr 05-19-2017 12:54 AM

That's also a 3 month old build of CEMU, 1.7.5 is a great release and works pretty well.

Spoiler
If you're wondering about the dislikes, this guy claimed to get 60fps on a 30fps game and that backfired so much he changed his title lmao.

I'm disappointed that the DLC doesn't let you dress up as Groose.

MisterFace 07-10-2017 09:03 PM

kek i get about 5-10 frames on CEMU

MattKan 07-26-2017 04:55 PM

It's a great game

Kinda wish there were more substantial items worth finding, but it's so much fun, and I haven't even cracked the surface.
