The Big Blob has received a major overhaul. It has a new look, has been rescripted from scratch and is now much more agile and dangerous. Its spawn method has changed(it is no longer only timer-based) and it now spawns randomly around Swamp town. It also not only tracks who attacks it, but how much damage they do. Top 3 contributers will receive Golden Slimy Spoils(alongside the Slimy Spoils themselves), which has an increased reward rate.

A slew of new items have been added to slimy spoils. From a new morph and mount, a new bomb and even a new bow, and a bunch of new slimy furniture and hats.

Good job Dusty. The blob certainly needed to be upgraded.

Around what time does the darned thing spawn? I have yet to even see it and since a new bow was added to it I really want that.

Well it's not just depending on time passed anymore, there is another factor involved in when the blob spawns. Also it can spawn anywhere in Swamp Town so idling near the puddle doesn't mean you'll always encounter it when it does spawn.

I also failed to mention you now get a sound to register that you did damage to it.

There needs to be like a shake when it spawns through a large part of the map so i dont have to run around swamp for long times >^<

I considered it but honestly we don't want to attract a lot of players to the blob like that. It's already bad enough players just idle there waiting for it, we don't want the whole map swarming to it.

I have never seen a spider in Classic... 2 years I have played... Went on an hour and a half spelunking expedition just to find spiders, and nothing...
