FOB are huge fans of a lot of rappers, but you have to question whether they deliberately chose 2 Chainz to be the "untalented" rapper ruining pop music.

I'm not a fan of the pop tone they gave the song though. Hell, i know it's punk pop but it's barely punk anymore, it misses the guitar riffs and all that jazz. Maybe it's just because 2chainz is in it? Who knows. The burning of the records though seems pretty symbolic in the way they're losing their old sound. I'm not expecting miracles from their next album but it probably won't be bad.
It'd have to be. I'd be let down if they didn't.

Patrick himself said something about the burning of the records being a reference to the "death of disco" where similar things happened to disco music and that the burning of their own records was to show that they will never die, or something.
Also with an album title like "Save Rock and Roll" you can't expect more than two songs like Light Em Up, I guarantee there will be plenty of riffs and piss-easy power chords Fall Out Boy are known for.
Also, they sounded ****ing incredible at their first show back live, and they played heaps of their old stuff, which makes me happy.
