I had written a FAQ team application a long time ago (the team that would help players with questing and stuff). It was like 50% attitude and 50% knowledge. Age was never considered. That was completely separate from GPs, Events, and Development (all separate at the time).

Of course, if you give someone the power to ban another player from a game, they should probably have some legal standing for being responsible.

wow thats pretty interesting. I think this is a good way to approach it. Thank you for sharing!

My worthless $.02 on the topic? Age is just a number.

I've met 25 year olds who laugh hysterically when they fart.

I've met 14 year olds who have more poise and sense of responsibility than I have.

Some of the richest and most successful people that I've met have been the most immature, but when it comes to getting things done, they get things done.

They say that immature people have a higher chance of making navy seals then mature people, this is because they stay positive even in rough situations.

They should really change the application to better show you qualify for the position and if there's an interview (that should be included). As an optional choice you can include your resume as well. Even though it's volunteer, I think this is a better approach to deal with the hiring process.

Some are realistic in the application, some just copy and paste answers from Google. Can't really prove (there's actually a site to prove if they plagiarizing). All in all, there should be a better process to be hired.

Imo the online application should just be to get a feel for the person. I think the actual interview thing should be done over skype video or some sort of video/voice chat.

Sardon 06-01-2015 05:07 PM

as ridiculous as it is Id rather be monitored by an 8 year old who acts like a 20 year old than a 20 year old that acts like a 8 year old.

If you can't spell 'judgment' you shouldn't be mocking other people's.

It can be spelt as "judgement"!

Admiral 06-01-2015 08:55 PM

they should only hire people from the forums cuz we know how it should be done!!!

and ik as well if u guys are admins my friends and I wont get unfairly banned

Blu 06-01-2015 09:09 PM

I agree with the application on skype idea.
When someone fills in an online application, they'll for sure lie about a lot of stuff and act completely different to how they are.

When I was 15, I begged to become an RP Admin on Valikorlia, essentially a GP. I'm 30 now and probably in a much worse place to be one, in terms of maturity and optimism.

KuyaGabeGraal 06-11-2015 11:47 PM

If the person is mature, then theres no need for an age limit. There are still a lot of people over that limit that acts immature
