I meant to post in the PACHUKA thread where everyone was having a ****-size competition over who played the longest and say that contego has probably played since however long he is claiming (since it had come into question?), because Shaded Legend was the very first playerworld I stuck with and I distinctly recall him being Manager at some point in time, probably 2000-2001ish

I think ArchAngel and then James205 followed, could be backwards since I have a bad memory, Sky also managed SL somewhere along that timeline
Can recall players like Biggi Chill, hrr4, Gafgarion, Fei, Ryu, Alma, Leon Beoulve, Blau Blau, TtTackler, benpoke103, Rusty, and a bunch of others

I was only 11 or 12 at that time and didn't really have an established name, went by a bunch of dumb garbage like "Illuzion" and "3RR0R" (cringe), but SL was probably my best memories of playing PC
PKing at onlinestartlocal and sparring at Rusty's is probably what got me interested in staying with the game
Server kind of started going downhill in maybe 2002 or 2003, whenever they added that tileset with the darkened grass

Anyway, there's not much merit to arguing the specifics of when someone played or taking pride in playing a few months before others, just thought I'd throw it out there anyway

Shaded Legend was approved late March of 2001 to go live. I remember developing the levels (which I also have the logs/dates for those too) in December 2000 into January and we got a super fast approval (I remember getting word from Contego and was super surprised). Antago is wrong on this and I still have all my old archives/PMs and logs but it doesn't matter (from that other weird thread). It's also weird to hear the name "Rusty" because he's my IRL brother haha.

I also throw my nomination in the ****-size competition of players who played during Zelda Online days
