what the actual f????
this game has been out for what? a month?
and the new expansion is already out? soft lvl cap 50 is gone now or what? and do we have to complete another 1000 new quests? oml.

one of the newest thread in the BDO forum. i guess imma just quit or be a casual player. mines are barely over +5 and +7.

You can't get gear over +15 yet. They haven't implemented +16-20 yet. If anything the new expansion is good for casual players, because all the 53+ players with +15 gear are gonna be grinding in the new high level places(there are zones ranging from 50-56) instead of where you will be.

"have to complete quests" is an odd way to put it. You don't have to do them, they just give you contribution which is nice but not needed.

How much memory does it take.
Heard it needs alot to run.

I play on 'very high' settings, and it uses up to 3 GB of RAM. I recommend at least 4 GB of RAM to play the game.

havent checked or cared. i think it was 2gb+.

i saw the pvp side on the youtube. damn i need to get my ranger up again lol.
the pvp side is where this game is failing.

there's gonna be A LOT of pvp zones -there's no warp, short cut etc- and any lvl 45+ can be attacked.
currently, top tier guild members maxed all their equip with +15 gears - about 200 AP, 300 DP(?)
now with the release of mediah expansion, they can upgrade it to +20. that's insane. im barely at +5
if i reached lvl 45, im gonna be the easiest pvp target for them.

200 AP and 300 DP is borderline impossible. I have a +15 bow and a +9 dagger, and I'm only at 91 AP. And this is WITH GUILD BUFFS. Without the guild bonus I'd be at 88 AP. With +12 chest, +9 helm, +9 shoes, and +8 gloves, I'm only at 103 DP.

In addition to +15 primary/secondary weapons, you would need +4 Ogre Rings, +4 mark of shadows, and +4 Witches earrings to even get close to 200. And that would take 10 billion+ silver, and you would have no accuracy or defense. Grinding only gets you ~1 million silver an hour.

People generally won't kill you unless you try to steal their grinding spot or upset them. They get a harsh penalty for killing innocent players. I've gone afk in PVP zones overnight and nobody kills me. All the players with +15 gear are in the mediah region where the 50-56 mobs are, they aren't going to kill you over level 45 mobs, they have no reason to be there except guild quests.

ahh thanks for clarifying. u see i, myself haven't even reached lvl 50 lol so idk anything about it
im kinda tired though, with all the stuff going in irl + this game stress.. nah

now that things have been settled and grinding spots are empty. im going back to black desert.

I just finished downloading 22GB worth of stuff. Am I gonna no life it like I did in March?
No, I don't think so. But this time I am definitely getting all of my chars to Lvl50+ and earn mad money. Basically trying everything that I couldn't try before.

I kinda went back to Dragon Nest as well, so it'll be hard for me to spend many hours in this game, but grind spot empty = super ez to level up.

MOTHER OF HELL!! I went back to this game to test out my new PC.
I think they buffed the character and adjusted all the exps, skills.
It was crazy fun killing monsters. Those actions and damage output were insane.
I forgot everything, so I was pressing whatever I felt like and still owning solid red colorplated monsters.

I've seen videos of the game and I personally don't like the graphics and combat but if your looking for good combat graphics & customization blade and soul is a game to consider, just my opinion though.

I think BDO appeals to more harcore players with it's open world, where Blade & Soul is... kawaii.

All I hear about BDO is that it's pay2win and has crappy gameplay

It's one of the least P2W MMOs I've played in recent times. You can obtain 95% of things in the cash shop without paying real money, and the remaining 5% are cosmetics or non-essential items. After about 3 months of experience, you should be able to grind gold so quickly that the cash shop becomes obsolete for any player that doesn't want to spend their paycheck on the game.

If you actually intend to play the game competitively, be aware that it is extremely hardcore. It's the only MMO I know of without a hard cap on just about anything. Your character level, skill levels, and almost everything else is uncapped so there's basically infinite progression. The thing I like most about BDO is that it can be played as an active grinder, or it can be a game that you minimize to your system tray and keep running all day doing idle tasks. Either way, you can still progress. I've been AFK fishing for the past month and building wealth, but there will come a time when I'm interested enough in the game that I start playing actively again.

I'd recommend the game to anyone who loves character progression. You don't have to follow any linear quest line either, you can level however you want. Just find something you like to do.

Sounds like a more fleshed out version of Eve Online. Do I get a free Fedora if I purchase the game?

mind giving me a good starter silver making guide?
All I've been doing is just levelling up my characters to 50. Which will be done in prob 2-3 days.

Have you started your worker/node setup yet? Get on that ASAP, it takes forever to get them all level'd to Artisan:

You basically use CP to get Lodging housing in cities, each point of Lodging affords you 1 worker. Those workers can make you silver passively by gathering resources from the nodes 24/7. You have to give them beer to replenish their stamina, but cooking beer is one of the best ways to power level cooking anyway so it's fine.

Keep the game running overnight and fish. Get a Balenos Rod (the most durable) and fish at Velia overnight. Connect Velia to Glish (costs a bit of CP) and when you wake up, autorun to Glish and sell all your fish to the Imperial Fish Trader. The ones left over, sell to the basic trader right beside them.

I make about ~3m per AFK fishing run (takes 3–4 hours), but that's with around 50 open inventory slots. Grinding will always be the most efficient way to make money though.

Ff14 or BDO which is better?

I don't have much contribution points to copy what he did in the vid. do u think i should do quests for them or is there a way to grind that too?

Zetectic 12-27-2016 12:21 AM

Managed to uninvest everything and did what he did. ty for the guides.

i have few questions tho.
1. can players trade each other?
2. is there another way to get premium clothes without buying them in pearl store? cause i saw bunch of them in market place. i tried to buy one, but i was too slow.
3.
