I think it adds a lot to the game. Its basically enhancing the experience of the game. I can see that some players would not want it. Thats a few players, not all of them. "Its cool at first" is how some players are but that shouldnt be a deterrent for everyone else. The graal overworld doesnt need to be pitch dark. Just make it as dark as it gets when you enter caves.

The baddy one is called a rebel elite..

If you kill any rare baddy during a quest you get a 250 graalet bonus and a sparkle animation. (Don't quote me on the bonus you get but you do get one :))

Why not make night and day thing that can be removed with the weather system in settings? It also doesn't have to be majorly dark, About as dark as Halloween.

The unnamed enemies on VIP island have vanished, anyone know when it happened? I was gonna try and see if they had a rare version but they packed up and moved out :D
