I agree, was a good tournament. Was great to do it with some friends even if we did horribly. To be honest it felt really stress-free. Glad Deity won, shoutouts to all those great guys.
|
Wasn't planning to participate this GST but I'm glad that I did. Probably the best staff hosts they've had, and it was a great gst due to no lag.
|
Shout out to Jarace for letting me hump him without kicking me out
|
Congrats to VIS and Deity and gs's to everyone too! <3 Very fun season!

First time doing it (first GST in fact). I didn't know the layout of the viewing area and missed quite a few matches but I'll probably edit what I do have when I get back from out of town Monday night/Tuesday and throw it on youtube. If I'm not sparring next time I'll likely run two computers and record both rings so I don't miss ****. |
Not salty about getting 2nd place, the finals were legit. And VIS was the only guild that could have put down ultraviolence.
But I do honestly want to know what happened in round 1 VIS vs Impossible. Impossible was declared the winner, but VIS got a rematch. I didnt catch the reason why. The whole server shut down spoof was... unique. But at least the horrid lag stopped after the reboot. |

I really felt like BDB could've taken itself to Finals but we were a bit unlucky you can say.Cheers to Blue Dragon and his noobs.

-Didn't except VIS to be so strong. Very few people predicted them, props to VIS for winning. NF was exceptionally productive for someone who is inactive and was added to the lineup at the last minute (mvp!!) Not to mention the tough draw they had.
-The idevice team that dalton was in beat SLX, impressive. -Alumni, WAR & OO7 didn't live up to their potential. -Xenthic's and bu7maid's guild did good for a new team coming 4th. -Deity, who doubted them? They beat a top tier team like Blackout with one member afk for 30 seconds, enough said. -Blackout arguably could of done better with ares online. -FP4 did well on fixing the server problem, the staff didn't do the best job in my opinion. To many ban evaders, we asked to sub an afk member and we got completely ignored. We vsed an opponent that was constantly warping and freezing (excessive lag?) I also don't understand why there was so many idevice final matches/or rematches, was it just a bunch of draws? |

is fro #1 in idev gst wins now? who evaded bans? cause I don't see any in mixed side & couldnt pay attention to idev side. no i recorded vis vs rebellious. there was no draw. |
Rebellious vs. ViS
Round 1 - Vis won Round 2 - Rebellious won Round 3 - Vis Won Round 4 - Rebellious only got 4 members warped in so it didn't count Round 5 - Rebellious won Round 6 - Kouji and Den traded hits and it had said Rebellious won but Lertcon said it was a tie. Round 7 - Vis won Hopefully that explains why their were so many matches lol |
video is still under process. it will take about an hour to get the video running with HD quality. I think I missed a match where rebellious got their 2nd win. watch me suck rly bad lololol Quote:
|
Because one of their members got warped out. They wanted to make it fair.

Rebellious should have won, you can clearly see I hit first in the video min 36:46, but they had to redo it
But oh well, admins aren't always in your favor lol, another amazing clutch goes down the drain |

Here's game 6 when the score was 2-2. Both players are at 0.5 and this was the tie breaker. Rebellious received the message they won but Lertcon judged this as a tie. Fast forward to 36:40 to see this in Zet's vid.
|
If i was Lertcon, i would probably called it a tie also since both of them are killed by the match ended. VIS could also argue like Rebellious right now saying it should of been a tie if they counted that match as Rebellious. Plus the 7th match was a fair match.

rebellious should of won it, the systems decision should be final regardless of who hits first

That tie in VIS vs Rebellious
Just wanted to clear up it was me (Domi), who traded hits with Kouji. Thanks!
|
Matches vs BDB, GTEAM and Blackout were fun. Mixed might have had more serious teams than usual.

Overall thoughts
Slowed down version of Zetectic's GST video. Is anyone an expert at spar, and can clarify this whole tie thing(Thallen pls)? I feel like the GST video didn't do any justice. At 0:01, you can see the opponent swinging his blue sword towards Kouji. But at 0:06, you see Kouji swinging at the guy(no blue sword visible). If he was turning as he was being hit, when would there be time for him to hit Kouji inbetween those few seconds before and after? Just seems weird as bodies do slightly move forward while swinging but his character didn't show any sign of it around the time that they had died. |
I couldn't see domi swing his sword there.
|
Who are the winners? Didn't see GST since I was busy with Physics HW.
|
Tbh i'm not sure how that whole swinging timing thing works, i just thought we tied, i just know kouji is a great sparrer and it was a pleasure to face Rebellious in the finals after such a hard bracket. Even if VIS did not win GST, and admins did not redo that spar, I would still say it was a lot of fun and was well worth coming back to graal this summer.
|
GST results and overall thoughts
The viewer script is hella weird and unreliable, for example if you spam your sword the viewer will only show you swing one time and then you'll stand in place for the rest of the time while you're spamming
I don't even see Domi swing there but I see Kouji die, IDK, ask GraalBusters Anyway, if the popup said your guild won then it wasn't lying, it means his hit registered first It also shows Kouji dying after him That problem wouldn't occur if someone just adds the same script from the BA guild spars that announces who won at the bottom |
When does OpTic play

OO7 choked because all their members were trying to protect Pkun, who was in the corner doing nothing, so that he kept 3.0 the whole time. Not a good strategy. |
i really wanna see ultraviolence vs vis. does anybody has a footage of it?
|
rebeloso won in the same way that the all-girl team and i beat aluminum and went on to win the tournament a few gsts back.
|
It alrit we stil beat them but lertcon f*** blind
|
Anyone got Deity vs. Blackout or Alumni vs. VIS recorded?
|
Reb the real winner tbh, it's obvious to anyone who paid attention to gst and doesnt fanboy over VIS.
|

Holly crap!! Can we get a confirmation about this thread being the fastest to 4k views.
Best of 7 series for the finals woot woot Best of 5 series for the semis woot woot Make it happen fp4 Don't care what happened(errors) in the finals(idev), but I enjoyed the series. Props to fossil Clops for owning that BTB noob that ran the whole time while at 1 health. |

again, the system's decision should be final, as it is in regular sparring and how it has always been.
if VIS won: might as well take away thousands of sarah's wins (both players dying, her getting the win). might as well rewind a couple of gsts and redo nessa vs alumni (jack sparrow and i both died, gave us the win). rebellious basically won in my mind, congrats guys. |
Rebellious won back to back Gsts and got robbed. Proof is in the video and this post is certified by Graal Busters.
Edit: keep in mind Zet did miss one recorded as he mentioned. He missed round 5 which Rebellious won cleanly. And for that saber dude who said Rebellious got a redo that's because we had 4 members at the start of that match. Lia didn't lag, she got warped to Angel clan for no apparent reason. Getting warped out at the start is extremely common, I see it at every dam Gst, I can't believe ViS thought that match would count, not sure if they don't understand how Gsts work or are extremely desperate for a win. In conclusion, Reb was the first to 3 wins. |
Again, lertcon blind as fhk
|
also to the people who believed Kouji was evading ban, he went on his main account minutes before gst started and made a status clarifying he's not banned. Lol @ the idiots who probably tried to spam report him.
