There are pro's and cons for voting systems:

Pros: The players can influence the direction of the server, help decide about events and so on, voting would help their voices be heard more and could assist the iEra staff in making some decisions.
Of course if a voting system was put into place not everything would be a vote decision, there are some decisions that would also be up to the staff/management.

Cons: The votes could make for some terrible decisions haha

Well I don't see how they could make terrible decisions, I mean you'd need a majority, and lots of players are smarter than it seems. It's just the idiots that stand out

I think that you guys need to stop bashing on Mayu because of her grammar, it's not something that she can help as she is not a native English speaker.
She's just trying to communicate on a largely English speaking forum. Cut her some slack. And she is right, there's a chance that a voting system could cause a lot of problems because of disagreements.

voting on staff would be a terrible idea. if players voted to get rid of staff they thought were inactive or something, half the dev team would be fired :P

How about worst forum user of the month gets banned or worst gang of the month gets disbanded, it would most certainly be you for the first one and your gang for second, how bad would you feel that some players got to decide your destiny whether you stay or go.
