Speaking of locks.. the keyblock furniture item (handle furniture store) tends to 'forget' the password after a while. I regularly have it happen that the password, even if entered correctly, does not get accepted. I think it might have to do with multiple players attempting to use it simultaneously, but not sure.

Guild Tag Glitch

So I'm not really sure how to approach this one. If a player is wearing a tag at a tower, and then leaves that guild, he can sometimes pk that guild while wearing no tag without taking damage. I've seen it happening a few times.

Well the good news is I think I know exactly why this is happening. The bad news is I'm not sure what the best way to fix it would be. If you have members in your guild going off-tag and then attacking you and not being able to be damaged, perhaps the guild should reconsider their membership.

it's usually done by players who just join the guild only for this glitch to pk the guild. i've only seen it a few times.

I can also vouch for this glitch as its happening fairly frequently to our guild now
Still cant figure out how exactly it works but when a player is kicked/leaves sometimes they get immunty to sub guilds

Well, the issue is really that the tower guild "meta" is to spam-recruit anyone who wanders into your tower because, well, the system allows it and strength in numbers usually wins at towers.

To be more specific about the bug, the players on the tag that the player was kicked from can damage them, but the allied guilds can't. Sometimes, some allied guilds can hit them. I honestly don't know what the exact conditions are.

There's a guy that comes to Sardon's using different outfits and names. He will invest time in asking to join a guild or even helping them off tag for a few minutes just to get recruited, and then he spams a bunch of racist garbage in guild chat just to intentionally get kicked out of the guild so that he can PK you with immunity to your sub tags. "Just report them" sounds like wonderful advice, but I've been doing it for 3 days straight now and he is abusing it at this very moment. I've told people to block him and stuff until it gets fixed.

Are you kicked from a tower when you change guilds? I suspect that might be a fix to this issue.

Well my guild Okami keeps getting kicked from the tower by ourselves as if we took the tower again but from us. Im guessing its lag or just you trying to fix it?

Right now, no. If you did make it this way, you'd need to make it so that there's an exception for the guilds allied to the guild whose tag you're changing from (because lots of towerers switch between the main and allied tags).

I'm not 100% sure if that'd fix it, based on experience. What does fix the glitch is if the player puts on another tag, accepts another guild invite, or reconnects.

It's because your guild is filled with a bunch of people with bad devices or intentional lag blockers (cough). Dusty added something that warps players who freeze or intentionally lag blocks out of towers. I've witnessed it work successfully several times so far.

Disregarding your "joke" or rivalry towards the guild im in, it removed attackers as well, and I'm pretty sure not all of the guild is lagging or lag blocking especially if its a tower with a wide entrance like snow.

Livid means that when the server itself lags, it warps everyone out of the flag room to respawn area(outside of the tower) even if your guild is defending the tower. It happened to everyone else at Castle so it might be a bug from the new lag-block update since everyone's tag was also reset.

I also agree w/ the tag glitch too. It needs to be fix asapppp because even if players relog, they are still invincible to whatever tag they were previously on.

Hmm, yes the whole server lagging could possible cause it, but the check is quite a long delay so there must be some intense lag to kick everyone. I can possibly look into ways to resolve it but I'm not quite sure what to do.

The lag-block does nothing about tags.

I'm not sure what exactly is causing it if this is the case. If it's a built-in issue then there may not be much I can do.

Can you tell me if it only works if the person is kicked from the guild? Does the person removing their tag accomplish this?

If it's the former and not the latter then I can simple check to see what the scripts are doing differently and probably fix it easily.

I proposed a solution not too long ago that would completely solve the entire "mass-recruiting random people to help defend tower" thing, and thus make this bug moot.

When a new player is recruited to a guild, there is a 10 minute period in which the player is still fully a part of the guild, but cannot help defend a tower if said guild is already in control of said tower. Meaning, as far as the game's mechanics for towers are concerned, that player would not be considered a part of the guild. If 10 minutes go by and the guild is still in control of said tower, that player may now help defend.

All problems solved.

This would cause problems with many towering guilds using "subguilds" as a way to recruit their members when they come back online. They aren't mass recruiting randoms this way.
