5 Centimeters per Second, perfect example of realism in romance that can be found no where else. Slow yet heartbreaking series that is a must for all romance fans.

I struggled not to fall asleep during that one. I had my eyes closed almost half the time. Pretty okay story though.

Watching Captain Earth. Very nicely animated, but a lot of people say they didnt care for the story. And it kinda is really confusing at first. Like if the villains can freely and instantly transport to earth with a mecha in a crepe truck, then why are they trying to invade earth from space?.. I guess I dont understand a lot yet.

Has anyone been reading TokyoGhoul:re? I haven't gone near it because of the original ending to the manga, can anyone tell me if its worth to start?

Only part of the story that i didn't like was what color enemy are we fighting this week that went on for about 4-5 episodes. They're not in space, only their machines that they control from earth are.

iMask 11-29-2014 03:13 AM

Quick question. I have not read the mangas of Trinity Seven yet. By the pacing of Trinity Seven, will there be more source material to make a season 2? And how many episodes will there be in season 1?

Okay I just finished Tokyo Ghoul just gotta say and ask a few things.
The animation is amazing, the story is gripping and the sound is quite notable.
I just had a couple problems with it
●Kaneki whined so god damn much it reminded me of the main character from mirai niki.

●It doesn't really explain what ghouls are, nor does it explain their powers.
●Not enough back story for certain characters

All in all it's pretty good so far, looking forward to the next season

At the pacing of the series the anime will pretty much catch up to the manga by the 12 episodes they've recieved. The manga is a really slow update, only one chapter every month has less than 20 chapters out I believe. the anime paces about 1-2 chapters per episode.

Tokyo Ghoul, Mirai Nikki, Neon Genesis Evangelion. yep, yep. hate whiny main characters.
The ghouls are comparable to vampires, i guess, (but without the stereotypical weaknesses), but extreme to the point of devouring all flesh, not just blood..

wat, similar to Tokyo Ghoul? Ummm plot-wise, Parasyte is about a guy who becomes half-human, half-parasite, and theres conflict with co-existence. But the main character isnt as whiny.

Shiki is a really good vampire series (watched that last October; currently reading manga). The plot is not similar though; this has a much better story (imo).

Rockson 12-01-2014 07:52 AM

I played Rage of Bahamut for a long time before I joined the army. Started watching Shingeki no Bahamut Genesis because of that and actually started to really like the show.

And how the anime was bad and hopefully it could redeem itself by actually making a good anime original and that they don't end the series with everything un-concluded.

Does your sister like Welcome to the NHK? How old is she? It seems like a niche kind of anime that would appeal to an introverted male.

She's 18 and likes it. We like pretty much all the same anime. I'm mainly watching NHK now hoping for more romance between Sato and Misaki. I haven't been too impressed the last few episodes with the whole marketing scam story. I'm currently on episode 20. I haven't been watching much anime because of final preparations and remaining assignments. I'm going to need stuff to watch afterwards. Pretty much just watching NHK, Seven Deadly Sins, SAO II, and Fate/stay night. It looks like I've missed a lot of anime discussion #sadface.

Out of everyone and everypost ive read on certain forums on Tokyo Ghoul, this is probably the only negative comment that didnt mix with a positive one. It great honesty its plot was straight forward, the ending however i'm sure would piss people off and also excite them. The un-conclusion is what makes suspense to make people want to watch it.

except for the whole not announcing a season 2 until much later after the last episode aired, major censorship, felt rushed.

Series was rushed and horribly censored, with a lot of unnescessary censors, if you saw the broadcast and BD comparison. You can tell how the manga is way better than the anime just by reading the first few chapters, the anime left out a ton of character development and you actually see Kaneki not be a whiny brat before he became white hair Kaneki.

Definitly true. Although i don't know if all the people read Tokyo Ghoul but...
MAJOR FKIN SPOILER
Spoiler
Sorta upsets me their doing this born into another person concept, with the author releasing Tokyo Ghoul:Re Kaneki was brought back to life as another person. Im sure all the fans were expecting this but it destroys the whole point of everyone dying, I mean dont even get me started on Rize's death. So I wonder if they will leave S2 off with Kaneki dying, if so they might have to end the anime there because :Re isnt so good IMO.

Oh and I want to say one more thing, this might be a little off topic but if you want to get head of Tokyo Ghoul and read the manga. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, read it from the beginning. You wont understand half of it if you dont start from the beginning, if im not mistaken tokyo ghoul the anime leaves off on chapter 66.

Are you talking about the manga? If so:
http://www.mangahere.co/manga/tokyo_ghoul_re/c001/
(Tokyo Ghoul:Re, Basically the second installment of the series. New chapter comes out every sunday and we are on the 9th chapter)

And if your talking about the anime, I wonder too. They only covered 60 of the chapters in the 1st season and there are 144 in the whole installment, It would take over 3 seasons to cover Tokyo Ghoul and Tokyo Ghoul:Re

twilit 12-03-2014 02:32 AM

bleh the only reason Tokyo Ghoul was popular to begin with was because the manga was #13 most popular or something. If the anime S2 is making their own story, im not even going to bother.

Psycho-pass is considered newer than SAO, by about 3 months, and the animation is better than most anime these days. It's ain't no oldie series from pre-2011 times. It's considered the "younger" animation style.

I dont see how your comparing it to SAO unless she/he likes it. They are two different story lines and concepts, I dont think SAO can be classified as horror or gore.

He is a big fan of SAO, and I'm not comparing the content, using it to refer on how new Psycho-PASS is, as he seems to have believe it as those <2007 series saying how he likes the "younger" art compared to it.
