I see where you are coming from and it would appeal to the same crowd, but its not a ripoff. It would just be another wave defense game type.

They are but they are all in the game old predictable content. Maybe a game mode where the hive assaults you and you have to keep holding them off, I know to campaign touched this idea a couple times but I am talking about an actual end-game challenge where players are always trying to reach a new wave number they haven't gotten to yet.

I know, I just said that it would be similar to a ripoff, but there's also the fact that it has to tie with the lore. Play destiny enough and you'll soon understand that.

Like any zombie or horde survival game isn't a rip off from CoD zombies.

Or the other way around.

The Dark Below literally has half the content of House of Wolves and still passes as an expansion to the game.

I downloaded the update yesterday and it took me about 2 hours to run through all the new story missions on hard and the first prison of elders by myself. They were fun but the prison of elders was kind of uninteresting to the point where I wasn't interested to do it 3 more times if the only difference besides difficulty is that the boss changes and gets more health. None of the new gear looks that good to me besides the vanguard/cruible gear since it reminds me of the recon helmet from halo. The new guns look ok but I don't feel they are any better than what I already have.
The trials of osiris gear I personally don't like the look of either, and would only have been interested in it if I didn't need a fireteam, and i'm actually good at the pvp.

In all the best thing about it to me was the special sidearm pistol you get from the first mission, I want more of those. Raids might not be considered as more content, but they take longer to complete and are harder to do which makes it take longer for me to get bored, which is why I prefer it.

Raids do NOT take longer to complete, unless you count all the casuals who don't know what an oracle is and so on. HoW brought in content and whether you like that content or not it's still content that is bringing joy to others, while you may like TDB others like HoW & TDB, just enjoy what you spent your money on.

You are blatantly wrong here. The bosses gain special attributes, not only health. For example, the level 34 boss, The Flame Prince Urrox has a move where for a period of eight seconds you have to stay off the ground or risk dying from constant damage. Or, the level 35 boss, Skolas. Once his health goes below 50%, a debuff is given to a random player, who, after 30 seconds dies. You have to transfer this debuff to other members of the group to reset the timer. Or, it will kill your fireteam, one by one. There are other elements to the Prison of Elders, but, you can find out for yourself.

My god I love it..I haven't played Destiny in a while and wanted to see all content from start..So I redid my Hunter..She was only 14 but I wanted to hear the new Ghost voice actor Nolan North. Currently 18 right now and plan to play heavily tomorrow. You have a PS4? We can link up. I really need more people to play this with.
