I've always wanted an ebay-like trade system, not tables. Basically what Delteria has. There's a menu for people selling items, you can view it by items, weapons, sellers, prices, etc. & you can either post to sell it at a certain price, or you can auction it off with a minimum bid requirement.

This would actually benefit, and will make the economy much better. That is, until Skt replies saying how it would "ruin the Zone vibe."

Zone vibe lol

What would be fun is rating a seller..
If what he sells is good for a good price, he gets a 5/5 by players.
Then in the menu you can find the best rated sellers.

This is also a good idea, until someone trades with their own alt account and rates 5/5. Scammers are still scammers. It would be cool though. Maybe instead of having a trade screen like the eBay idea, there can be a trade chat box, where you post your deal, table number, etc. and players can respond in PM if they like your offer to negotiate or whatever.

GenoIndeed 02-13-2016 08:08 PM

We could probably do both the trade bulletin and the chat box

It might be time to update the trade house altogether:

I think the VIP tables should be removed. They are barely used, and most people are to the left of the main room at all times.

I also think with the auction idea, the trade house should be limited to two rooms -- an auction room and the normal "buy it now" room.

Upon entering the trade house front door, you go into a small lobby that's just small enough to display both doors on the left and right with the signs, auction and trade, on all screen sizes as to not discriminate one room or the other. I suppose the auction would only allow the trade of ZC, or do you guys think it would be cool to be able to choose from a search bar which item unit to auction it for? Yeah, that would be pretty complicated. Maybe just ZC.

Rating sellers would be a bad idea, simply because there's so many immature people in any game community that would rate someone bad because they don't like them and ruin their rating & all the 'trolls.' Plus they would use their good rating to try to scam and pretend something really expensive is cheap.

GenoIndeed 02-13-2016 08:43 PM

The thing about the bulletin i like is that you dont have to stand there in trades and hope to sell something, you can continue on with basing or whatever and if someone wants to buy something you can get like a pm saying someone bought your item. And its public so people will be able to compare your prices with others

And yeah ratings will be abused by people like trigger

Skt A. Sangue 03-04-2016 05:58 PM

ehh i kinda like ratings.

like whenever I trade i'm always on one of the tags that is known for trading well.

it's definitely got it's flaws and can easily be manipulated but i dont think it would be too much of a bother.

if i see a gun that i know is cheap, idc who it is. Im buying it.

or if its way over priced for me even if others will say it's good... i wouldnt buy it.

just like on ebay a rating doesnt tell you if you should buy something from them or not.

it says if they are reputable.

like you mentioned trigger. he's done at least 5000 trades. bad or good rating, he has a reputation. if he sells well. gg for him. if he scams me, well it's his reputation.

some people wouldnt care about that.

i know a lot of traders that do.

It also creates monopoly and abuse. People will either deliberately make someone have a bad rating, or someone will make multiple accounts just to trade with their other account to give themself a good rating. There shouldn't be a rating system based on an average 1-5 stars. Instead it should be a reputation point system, like forums have it.

O yea, no I totally misunderstood. I thought y'all were talking about something like that to begin with. I wouldn't say repuation system though. While I do think it should be based off of like a slider bar from 0-5, a rep system would just favor older traders. While I do believe that they should get some love for establishing the market, a lot of new players sell things for REALLY low prices because that's the only way they can compete. That being said, a rep system would discourage players without good trading knowledge to trade with people like that, even when they are giving a steal of an offer.

Like i said, anything player handled can be corrupt. But I do hope that the system trusts us enough to work well with one another and catch those that abuse it and just steer away from them. Like Hanson. Nobody trades with silly Hanson ;D

Honestly, whilst this is a tad off topic, SKT mentions new players selling things for low prices, as that's the only way they compete. There should be methods to support new players, perhaps by segregation of new and old players somehow.
