Ya that's what I mean. It's not your fault, and I get wrapped into the same problems as well. If I want to play with anyone I know online I have to get the newest CoD, whether I like it or not.

If I had to "act" a certain way to have friends then I would prefer to have no friends at all and act myself.

I act myself, as I said before, it's addictive, but not great, I buy it because of the allnighters playing zombies with friends etc.
I'm not buying it to please someone.

Talon,chill out. The game was made to entertain us players and the only ones complaining about CoD are the forum dwellers. But they are doing their best,you might see lots of improvements in future games released by Treyarch.

I'm really enjoying this COD. Multiplayer fails to piss me off too much, campaign is not too bad for a COD game, zombies I can't get past round 7. All is good.

Played it at my nephews this weekend. Absolutely loving the class changes; it's so flexible while also remaining balanced. I like how you can customize your class to fit your needs at the expense of features you may not actually find beneficial to your playstyle. Don't use secondary grenades? Swap them out for another attachment on your pack. I spend way more time customizing my classes than I ever did in the other games.

I haven't familiarized myself with the maps quite enough to say whether I truly like them or not though. Some I downright despised though... always felt exposed, always someone able to shoot me from behind it seemed.

SMGs seemed downright overpowered at times, and assault rifles seemed underpowered. I didn't quite like any of the assault rifles, and it sucks they did what they did to the AK-47(well, the AK...25? I think?). I loved the AK-47, used it in all of the past CoD's... but this version seemed weak, and wasn't worth it with the recoil. Really sad about that. In a series I always used assault rifles in, and never EVER decided to try out SMG's... I found myself exclusively using SMG's in Black Ops 2 and eventually just stopped trying with assault rifles. Maybe this is the balance people were asking for, feeling assault rifles were too good to use anything else... but I dunno. I feel SMGs do mid-to-long range fairly well while dominating close range as well, and assault rifles don't do long-range well enough to justify using them over an SMG for that tiny bit of range.

Just first impressions though. I also liked the small touches, like being able to camo not only primary, but now secondary and even your combat knife. In fact, if it's a weapon you can camo it.

On-topic, I'm actually enjoying this rendition of the series. Lots of QoL additions like camos for every weapon (got Gold for my Combat Knife and B23R), and the new Create-a-Class system is fantastic. The classes are flexible and perfectly personalized, and there aren't any ridiculously hard to unlock Pro Perks (sup BO1 Marathon Pro) or gun camos. The guns in each class seem rather balanced, but a few guns - the PDW and M8A1 - seemed slightly overpowered in their respective classes. I'm really enjoying unorthodox classes, like 5-perk no weapons with a Combat Knife, and my current B23R-only setup. Took me a day after getting Kryptek: Typhon to get the Gold camo on my knife. That damn 5 Bloodthirsty challenge is hard AF.

I've been running three-man teams with my friends in Multi-Team and we rarely lose games. I'm currently at 3rd Prestige 55, waiting for friends to catch up to have a little race thing for fun. Also sticking around to finish off the Gold camo on my B23R.

Overall, I'm having a blast playing this game with my friends. At first, I didn't like it - but, it grew on me and I realized that it's actually a nice game. It's a HUGE step up from Modern Warfare 3 and the previous Black Ops. Fantastic class system, overall decent gun balance (though most maps seem SMG-oriented), interesting new Zombies modes/maps, etc.

I like Zombies. There's just no "story" behind it or whatever the guy said. Did I ever say Zombies was bad/anti-fun/worthless? No. It's fun. Calm yourself.

I understand where you're coming from completely,but there sorta is a plot if you look at it from a different perspective.Play World at War you'll see what I mean.
