Don't change the two default music song for the normal over world though. I've grown so nostalgic of that for the past 3 years, lol.

Seriously. I can help make a new soundtrack if I had the soundfonts that Graal uses. Some tracks just suck or don't fit as well as they could. For example, the regular overworld song for Snowtown. I think it could use it's own song. The regular songs wouldn't work out at all at night, as flutes and cellos having seizures barely works during the day. How would it work at night?

If you're going to make one then I'll make one too I guess :P

It's more of a need to expand the soundtrack, not replace tracks.

And thus a new soundtrack project begins, marking a new era of progress for iClassic. Sort of. You think you could provide the soundfonts for Classic?

I'll play around with acid and try and knock something up before I begin. After that, I'll post them here and we can both get cracking.

Alrighty then, let's do this. Hopefully our work will actually be used.

9/10 it just goes into my DropBox, but that'd be nice <3 I posted something on Graalians in January I think to do with Christmas, and that'd make a good Snowtown song in my opinion. I'll have to post it when I'm back though because I moved it from my DropBox into Music and I'm away at the moment.

Now that we're talking about soundtracks, I'd like to ask for your opinion on having a battle track for the spar arena or the final match of GST or something of the like.

I'm always up for music being added, but I don't think anything more than a background track will be healthy for a spar level. It'll just make players not want to enter otherwise.

I guess that's true, but a track for a tournament final would be interesting. If its going to have a background track, it better be good, since a bad background track would also keep people from entering.

Good point. I thought you were talking about something that'd constantly stay in the background, and I've wound players up before by having something noisy and not well thought out playing in the background when all they want to do is have fun.

Maybe we should have another topic for discussing soundtracks, since we've essentially hijacked this thread.

If it could be done I'd like to see it where the player's lantern "subtracts" darkness away from the screen, and allowing you to also sprinkle torches and lanterns around populated areas/paths to also help improve the visibility at night. The only question is whether or not the hardware of iPods could pull it off without lag.

Could provide a "simple" and "advanced" light option where advanced performs like the above screenshot, but more exhausting on the hardware, and a simple that works like how the lantern currently does.

I was thinking about just dimming the screen once it is night time. So it gives that nightime effect but without needing a lantern.
