90 were accepted, 1 out of the 55 of my submissions were accepted. the odds were really against me :(

I got a little thing I want to talk about. Yesterday before I went to bed I got a message that my submissions were accepted. When I woke up today I got another message that one of my hats was edited so it was removed, not bad but when I checked none of my submission where there!

Now here's where it y'know, grinds my gears. What's wrong with edited hats? I've seen edits of existing hats being handed out on Christmas before, so why is it a problem when I do it? And why do ALL my submissions get removed? Pics related. Because we're not going to give players "payment"(in the form of gralats or an item) for simply editing another graphic.

It's almost as though we don't have an picture-perfect memory of every single hat that has ever existed.

For the past three months I spent time working on hats. I made about 12, and also submitted recolors for 2 of them (in four colors each). I had seen the templates that coco submitted in this thread and decided to submit a few things that took me less than ten minutes to draw.

A juggle I spent about 5 minutes on got chosen over hats that I literally spent months making. No reason why was given.

Be thankful they gave you notification as to why they dismissed your submission at all.

I dont get it what if we edit anither graphic just for its template
but we change around like alot of things on it we change that Borng hat to some sort of original thing.


not saying mine was a massive edit but I can edit things so they look 100%'different but I cant do anything from scratch and im fine with being rejected nobody wants my bouncy balls :(

Then you should probably do a massive edit where it isnt even visible that the graphic was edited.

There were over 200 submissions. The best and most liked ones were the ones that were chosen. Some of you only got a couple things you made accepted out of all because the ones that were picked were liked more than the ones that weren't.

I find that hysterical because you expect people to congratulate you but you then deem as below you even though only a handfull of the picked actually had been practising gfx for more than a year.Looking at a slight fraction of the submissions I can tell that this was not soley down to quality at least I hope otherwise classic staff have made some terrible mistakes. Your not in a position to pass judgement over everyone.


I hope everyone does not get discouraged by being denied and continues to make graphics.

Congrats to those who had items accepted. People will have their opinions on what was chosen, however they can't change what happened :0. So have a Merry Christmas and stop whining! :D

But they know all
they can see whats an edit and whats not even if it was a random hat nobody wears edited

I hope people are aware that even for graphics staff, not all graphics we create make the "cut" for various reasons.

as someone who had to make three hat lists for tower guilds this year, I'd be surprised with the staff if they were even able to accept 10% of what was submitted

not sure why people are up in the air and not understanding why their submissions didn't earn them a free hat

some of my items were accepted, but i didn't receive them, and i know they were accepted because i saw other players wearing them, and in the submission i asked to get all of which is accepted:c..

Question, near the beginning of the year some hats were sold in nafets that was given as a christmas gift so does that mean more hats are to do the same?

How rare are the player made items?

I witnessed my friend opening a gift and getting that hat. It is in the files, must be. His name is KG° leader of PiNoY

Here's the issue:
Graal uses external servers for the images, so players constantly downloading files doesn't lag the server itself. For some reason(that no one can apparently fix) for Android and Flash users, they are always getting older versions of files.

The blue mask was uploaded originally, then was retroactively declined. However instead of adding the replacement mask as its own file they updated the file of the blue mask.

Because of the cache problem with Android and Flash, they're seeing the old file instead of the new mask that was uploaded in its place.
