No don't bring it back! For the love of God, no! Those scrubs will find a way to roleplay, with or without it. Besides, the Onnet school is unused they might as well go there.

As for Deadwood, I never really saw it as a Halloween town. But more of that "spooky" area on the map. It'd do nicely if it had some nice things to go along with it.

Why do people care if there is an adoption center? Just because you don't roleplay doesn't mean that it's not worth the time adding it for those who do. Roleplaying is something that is self-sustainable. You need to create it one time and it gives a good portion of the playerbase something to do without the need to create any more content for it. On the contrary, creating a dungeon is something that takes an immense amount of work, yet the content is only enjoyed for one time. Then it becomes a useless chunk of server.

So roleplaying areas take minimal effort to create, yet offers some portion of the playerbase something to do without ever losing its purpose. I don't like roleplaying either, but I think roleplaying content has a very nice effort:benefit ratio for those who do enjoy it.

  • Deadwood was reduced in size because the majority of it was completely pointless. We have no desire to develop a holiday-themed area, because that means it is only useful during the holidays, as Deadwood proved. The current area contains all of the 'important' parts, and in my opinion, looks a bit better.

Bring back/ make more bat caves? Those were fairly used.

I'm pretty sure it is not the tileset that makes you lag.

Xenthic 03-04-2013 12:36 AM

Well it seems to be that when I log on with this new look for graal i seem to be laggy whereas the snow didn't affect me at all :0

Dusty 03-04-2013 01:15 AM

It's just graphics, and the same resolution/filesize graphics at that. It takes no more effort to render than the old snow tileset.

Sadly people think that because they log on and 2000 people are downloading tons of new files... that the new stuff is laggy. Nah, it's laggy because a large playercount is downloading a large amount of updated files. Give it a week or so when the servers aren't being stressed by everyone logging in to check the new stuff out and things will go back to normal.

It's pretty silly that people are blindly hating the update because the server is laggy, as though removing the update is suddenly going to fix everything.

If I may suggest: the bridge to Yorktown could use a little work. the old one looked better. Now its hard to distinguish floor from wall of bridge.

I would like the area of the adoption center to be expanded and have its own little RP town. Make all the RP go there and they wouldn't lag up server as much.

ex. Have player-made plays, burger refuge, school, adoption center, police house, etc.

I think it would make the rpers happy and the non rpers. I think even that would be cool to visit now and then!

If ya want to make them real happy, put a hospital in :3
