No, he can use the "Graal doesn't upgrade servers, so I was protesting by ddosing" as an excuse all he wants. This is not the correct way to approach the situation of the server. If Toonslab gives in to this, then that would show that they have no spine. That is terrible, and other people will end up taking advantage of that.

I just want to get on and play, it's more for the people I k ow on this game now, rather than the game itself when it comes down to it.

He is saying they are rumors for convenience, because if he did in fact (which he did) do other things besides just "protest by attacking the server, because I am a 'hero', and wanted there to be change", then he would have more serious charges. He did do other illegal things that involve the safety and privacy of others, as well as the loss of potential consumers for a company.
